Pivot animations are done using a program of the same name, you are given the shape of a stickman in which you can "pivot" the joints to make them do actions in motion. |
Life animations really have no specifics, they're similar to the sprite animations, the difference is that the sprites are photos of real life people cropped into the animations. That does not necessarily mean that every life animation will be done using the sprite backgrounds and objects. |
Sprite animations are done using characters from an old video game and objects made using other programs. Screenshots are taken of the characters in the game and then placed on a seperate background and seperate objects are added. The characters interact with the objects and scenery in the final animation. |
This is pretty straight forward, the animations are literaly drawn by hand on paper, scanned, and then put in a sequence in the final animation. |
Food fight animations were started when I photographed a meal from Wendy's and some friends told me to draw stickmen fighting on food. Just drawing stickmen using the food as the background and occasionally warping it to make it look like part of the scene. |
Realistic animations are created using an actual movie/animation of real life, and then drawing stickmen overtop of each frame and eliminating the background. |

My second style of drawing. Basically the same as AAS but using more advanced software. PSP is short for Paint Shop Pro. |
The original program I used for animating, a very basic DOS program that probably wouldn't be compatible with newer versions of Windows anymore. AAS is short for Allegro Animation Studio. |
