According to a March 31 Daily Southtown headline, six- or seven-month
premature little ones are only fetuses and not children. If we carry this
logic to its fullest, then every baby born prematurely is not a child either.
Imagine the mother who gives birth prematurely to her baby and discovers it
is only a fetus. Imagine too when she learns since it is only a fetus, it
should be left to die.

This bizarre way of thinking could save us a lot of money and effort, for
then we could close neonatal centers like the one at Christ Hospital across
the nation.

Pro-lifers have always said abortion will lead to infanticide and then
euthanasia. One has only to pause a moment to realize how far down the road
the anti-life movement has taken us.

Oh what games we play to accept abortion and not the tiny precious unwanted
child in the womb.
