Born Alive Passes Senate Test
Whistleblower Threatened

THE SENATE ENDORSED THE BORN ALIVE INFANTS PROTECTION ACT Friday morning by a
vote of 98 to 0. We will publish the names of the missing once the official
record is available.

The surprise vote came on an amendment to the so-called Patients' Bill of
Rights, the current "cause celebre" in the US Senate.

Though the controversial health care bill is unlikely to be enacted, given
opposition by the White House, the amendment by Born Alive Act Senate sponsor
Rick Santorum (R-PA) served to put the Senate on record as backing the
critical pro-life measure; the unanimity of the roll call virtually
guarantees favorable consideration of the Santorum bill, either as an
amendment to a more viable proposal or as a stand-alone bill.

After all, who is left to oppose the life-saving measure when such notorious
abortion fanatics as Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-MA)
spoke in its favor during Senate debate.

THE LABOR & DELIVERY NURSE who first blew the whistle on infanticide at
Advocate Health Care's "Christ" Hospital in the south Chicago suburbs has
been issued a "final warning" for the second time, threatening her future
employment.

Seems hospital management are growing increasingly perturbed by Jill Stanek's
activities -- on her own time -- to inform the public about the "live-birth"
abortions at the church-run hospital and to express her continued
conscientious objection to the atrocity. (Advocate is a Chicago-area-wide
health care empire operated jointly by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
America and the United Church of Christ.)

Mrs. Stanek is slated to testify at a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing on
the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, whose introduction last year was
inspired by her account of live-birth abortions, in which labor is induced
early for the purpose of delivering a pre-viable baby, and surviving newborns
are left to die untreated. The hearing of the Constitution Subcommittee is
scheduled for July 12 in the House Rayburn Office Building.

QUOTABLE REMINDER -- Alan Keyes, in a column published by Internet news site <
WorldNetDaily.com>: "If we reflect for a moment upon the example of the
Declaration of Independence, we will remember that sometimes even
self-evident truths need to be declared."
