irrationals, but makes muslims look stupid
They would say "look free speech in the UK means intelligent debate.. to the religious it means 'you can't say anything about us, but we
can walk down the street with death threats' (incitement to violance is illegal, but the police are too afraid of muslims to arrest people for it)
This is pissing me off in most cultures you automatically put yourself in the other persons shoes.
But it seems to me 90% of M spokesman, come out very aggresssively ..saying you are out to get me !.
Instead of saying "I can see how you, are worried about free speech" they react in a paranoid and aggressive manner
No muslim has been kidnapped by non muslims. Nor have non-muslims mounted terrorist attacks on Muslims. Nor have their flags been
burnt or embassies assaulted. Yes we do appreciate that the Israeli government can be called a terrorist government and other countries have
made misguided military actions, but the west is not out to get Moslems.
No we value them as human beings., we don't want to kill anyone only see justice to murders etc.
And millions of Muslims have migrated to live in western countries. (though not much the other way round) But the truth is more Muslims are
killed by muslims than non-muslims. The countries have mounted wars against each
other and inside against opposition people, political prisoners etc More muslims have been killed by their own governments than by the evil
Americans ..add it up yourself.
these spokesmen say it's all the editors fault they went out to insult and wind the Religious Peoples up.
"What a load of crap" ... the cartoons were rather mild ..most Western people can't understand why they are supposed to be
offensive.
1.If the editor wanted to offend he could have picked much much more offensive cartoons
2. If he wanted to wind RP up he would have taken them to th middle East.
Instead some months after publication some RP
Radicals took them on a tour of the Middle East they are the people who caused the most trouble.
3. One good spoke spokesman did say the religious leaders had the power to calm the people, but made the political choice to
inflame
..it gets worse "the delegation included other cartoons of Mohammed that were highly offensive, including one where the Prophet has a pig
face. But these additional pictures were NOT published by the newspaper, but were completely fabricated by the delegation and inserted in the
booklet" ..I don't want to believe this
Could it be this this whole spontaneous outburst thing is a cruel manipulation of innocent Muslims ? Last year and before no
outrage about previous cartoons and South Park etc. but this year the Imams did a tour with an inflamed dossier (they must have learnt this
one off Tony Blair). The cartoons can't be printed in the Arab press so the people can't judge themselves ..so fear the worst.. The Danish
Flags were mysterious close to hand .. 2 people died in Afghanistan ..this is sick ..do something positive !

Actually I'm baffled, I believe the spokesmen are afraid to say "well it doesn't offend me much", they are making themselves look
stupid and lacking in perspective, They didn't scream when other religions were attacked and ridiculed in the Arabic press , they didn't scream
when 100's of cartoons were published before, they didn't scream that a terrorist was insultig Islam when he chops off an innoccent guys
head on Al Jazseahra.
The cartoons can't be considered insulting cos unfortunately the K itself has phrases much more insulting than the cartoons. (strongly racist
calling "people pigs, donkeys, don't be friends with them, kill them etc ", I don't want to say more) And the K is above critism
If you want to mug a relious person , could you leave the gun at home and just take a piece of paper and a pen ?
The west desperately tries to show fairness and respect to Muslims, and we always will ..even though it seems we get little back. I would
like to think there are fair and honest muslims and that they too are afraid to speak costhe radicals have the loudest voices.
It's time for the west to close our mouths (we will cos we don't like to hurt people, it's just we don't like to be illegally forced to) and time
for the rational muslims to open their mouths.
When 9/11 or 7/7 or madrid bombings or jordan bombings or bali blasts or israeli-suicide bombings or delhi/mumbai balsts or yemen or
kenya or nigeria blasts took place, they said:
" these are a very tiny minority. they don't represent all muslims. "
So, my question is
" Do a single newspaper represents entire country? "

I have the greatest respect for the moderates who spoke rationally and attempted to get the story in perspective. But the credibility of Islam
has been greatly damaged in the west by the outrageous overeaction of many people and the failure to speak up of other moderates. Cos it
just so unbelievable that people have really been so offended.
Especially if they grew up within western culture ..with it's proverbs "sticks and stones may break my bones will never hurt me" as part of the
basic philosphy.
Surely people undersatnd that, you insult God more by killing someone, than by words.
ALSO Firstly they weren't drawn with an intent to offend. It is legal for Kaffirs to draw M. Thirdly only one cartoon can be considered
offensive, and the others have no offensive, connotation. (The fabricated cartoons are stronger and surely making them is a bigger
offense)That by condeming the publication, but not death threats which instigated publication religious people are saying that drawing is worse
than murder; this is unbelievable ..if there were 10 murders then someone put up 10 cartoon posters in the suburbs in Cairo would you really
move all the investigators to concentrate on the cartoons ?.
The moderates have had a chance to make Islam seem rational, but they have failed to speak up.
The Western TV covers Haj. Does the Islamic TV cover the festivals of other cultures ?

There is no West - we are all people of the world just cos
people live in one country it does not mean they all
have the same point of view.

To do this they have come up with the plan to
brainwash people to believe there is an "us"
(Muslims) and "them" foreigners (or westerners)
Of course the world is not like that. all societies
are diverse have liberals, people only interested in
nature etc. And that is the point I have tried to make
before .. nature people in England like to be with the
nature ..just like nature people in Malaysii like to

people in the world 1.2 Billion Muslims included,

be some kind of victory. When all you actually achieve

What an outrageous LIE
Firstly notice the simplified baby thinking using
words like "THEY". The press in a free country has a
diverse variety of opinions. Would they inlude the
Church Newspapers in the "They".
Secondly almost all of the Western countries do have
Blasphemy laws.
Some Danish people took the case of the cartoons to
the blasphemy courts, but they LOST..
Why cos in the judges prosecutors opinion they don't
actually insult GOD, they are a comment about people
who use bombs and then hide behind God. It does appear
that the most common opinion in the west does differ
from the Islamic world. The popular belief in other
countries is that if you kill one of his creations ..
that is when you really insult God.(You are allowed to
kill someone to save a life.)
Thirdly your friend will be able to show examples of
the press making fun of Jesus. This is accepted. Why
because the Christians believe their God and religion
is a strong (like a tough tough man). That he like a
tough tough politician has strong character and
arguments so these "words" just bounce off him like
tiny pebbles boncing off a mighty rock they do no
damage.

- Others say how can you talk about the cartoons if
you haven't seen them.

special and sensitive if they are hurt by words or
pictures then it's best not to publish.
- Others say European countries are too kind to
Muslims :that they have an easier life in Europe where
they are allowed to do everything freely, say what
they want (wheras in Islamic countries they would be
more controlled). That they receive help for this help
for that, money from the government translation of
Government documents into their languages etc ,), but
that SOME show no gratitude, but help terrorists
attack the same European states that have protecteted
their families.
(of course each country in Europe has it's own Islamic
press also)
Don't Muslims think the inncocent mother and father of
a man or woman aren't offended when they see the

By falling for this hate doctrine it is the innocent
who insult God and his creation. Western children were
created by God if you hate them you hate the product

Why are there so many muslims in Denmark ? Aren't they largely there cos they are refugees fleeing nations oppressed them.. cos no freedom of speech etc

Therefore, as a Muslim and a democrat, I want to stress that: I (and many others) do not feel offended by the drawings. But I do feel deeply insulted that where there was earlier a tradition for religious satire in the Middle East it now seems that a satirical stance on religion has become the privilege of the West. And I am offended that freedom of speech, the press, and artistic expression is predominantly the preserve of the Western world. Why are we not fighting here in Denmark for the right of Muslim artists to enjoy the same privileges as their Western colleagues?
I find it insulting that we in Denmark hear demands for an apology to Saudi Arabia’s fundamentalists instead of demands for democratic freedoms for everyone, Muslims included.
