I went to the New Years techno dance party at One Utama shopping center.. why do people go to a dance party and not dance, but just stand around ? well at least 10% of the Malaysians did dance. At one point I had people circle me clapping ..it was embaressing !

This program is being managed by our partners in Japan - Organized together with MOVE, a spastic school for mentally challenged kids since 05. The school where the leader of MOVE works did not want to host volunteers since Malaysian medical internship students tended to treat with the kids as dirty things, but they have changed the idea after seeing behaviors of Japanese vols. last year who were very close to the kids! We aim to stimulate on their life and improve their communication skills. They are so cute! W: We'll assist the teachers in the elementary and the kindergarten schools for one week each, by helping their daily life and lessons as well as organizing to play some dance, songs, games and excise. We may also help maintenance of the buildings and the gardens. S: Situation of mentally challenged kids and future plan of workcamps. Bring some info.! P: Excursion, parties, Indian dinner, etc. A: Schools and sometimes, home stay. SB! Basically CV. L: Port town, not far from Kuala Lumpur (about 1 hour). In Malaysia, 60% of population is Malay, 25% is Chinese and 10% is Indian. Q: Those who likes children and has high motivation to work with those kids. You also need to respect local cultures and ways. Experience of workcamps and similar type of voluntary service are welcome! X: The additional fee of 100 US$ should be paid on your arrival directly.
