Those big companies make so much money ..lah!
Malaysia is full of pirated DVDs, people don't think theirs anything wrong at all ..well that's OK. Does that mean it's OK to steal from rich people ? How to get payment from things that can be pirated ?
The more it's pirated the wider the message, so use the piracy as advertising to make money from merchandising etc. True : Once you've sold up to break even all is profit. So I can understand people saying ...these people make so much money lah !, except that it's not always true ... Apart from tne initial makIng costs ..paying writers, actors, technicians etc They have huge advertising and marketing costs ... Some movie companies have gone bancrupt like MAS so you are not stealing from the rich. Ironically the smaller countries are stealing from their own culture as they end up spending money on American pirated stuff and never put in any money into the local movie industry. coming up :
