We went skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado during the Thanksgiving holiday. We weren't able to visit either of our parents for the holiday, so we decided to go to Colorado and visit two of our best friends, Susana and Jason. They just moved to Colorado Springs and we thought it would be better to visit them then to stay home in Monterey, CA feeling sorry for ourselves that we're so far away from our families. We had a great time! Susana and Jason made all the arrangements. We rented out a condo in Breckenridge and had Thanksgiving dinner catered in. Everything was great. The slopes weren't crowded and we got a lot of skiing in. Steph and Jason are experienced skiers, and Susana and I were the novices. Actually, I had never skied before, but I caught on quickly. It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed ourselves very much in such beautiful surroundings. We even skied right out of our condo to the lift!
I guess if you can't be with family for Thanksgiving, why not spend it skiing with friends!
