Our Mission
The St Croix Tribal Police Department has existed since 1999 and currently employs fourteen full-time and two part time police officers, five full-time and two part time dispatchers, one full-time community service officer and an Dispatcher Supervisor/Office manager, and one clerical person.  Officers have full arrest powers in the three counties we patrol, which are Burnett, Barron and Polk Counties.

The communities that we serve in Burnett County are: Sand Lake Community (Sand Lake Township), Bashaw Community (Dewey Township), Gaslyn Community (Rusk Township), Danbury Community (Swiss Township), and the Clam Lake Community (Siren Township).

The community in Barron County is the Maple Plain Community (Maple Plain Township), which is located approximately six miles Northwest of Cumberland, WI.

The community in Polk County is the Round Lake Community (Georgetown & Johnstown Townships), which is located ten miles Northeast of Luck, WI

The St Croix Tribal Police Department also assists Turtle Lake Police Department with any events put on by the St Croix Turtle Lake Casino, such as the Annual Contest Pow-wow at the end of June and outdoor concerts.

The department also has a
SWAT Team. The St Croix Hertel Fire Department donated their Rescue Unit after obtaining a new Rescue Unit (Thanks Guys & Gals!) and we had it converted function as a mobile command post.
