Turning the World Upside Down

Turning the World Upside Down

In Acts 17:6 the complaint was made against Christians that they had "turned the world upside down." What a wonderful charge of which to be guilty! Please consider with me the thought that all Christians should be guilty of this charge.

We must influence the lives of the people we see each day - our families, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and even strangers in the grocery store or post office. We must be like salt (Mathew 5:13). Can we tell whether or not the food we eat has been salted? It will also be evident whether or not we are daily seasoning the lives of the people we see.

Like the apostle Paul, we must be ready to defend the gospel of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:7, 17; Ephesians 6:10-18). The confession or profession of faith which each one of us made when we became Christians must continue to be declared daily (1 Timothy 6:12; Hebrews 4:14; Hebrews 10:23). Every Christian must be ready at all times to explain why he has hope in Christ (Colossians 4:5-6; 1 Peter 3:15-16).

Brother or sister, are you turning your corner of the world upside down?
