I.
The Altar of Stones at the
Joshua 4:5-9, 19-24
Joshua 4:22-24 "then you shall let your children
know, saying, 'Israel crossed over this Jordan on dry land'; 23
"for the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until
you had crossed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which He dried
up before us until we had crossed over, 24 "that all the
peoples of the earth may know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty,
that you may fear the LORD your God forever."
II.
The
Passover
Exodus 12 (especially verses
14-17, 24-28, and 40-42
Exodus 12:14-17 'So this day shall be to you a memorial;
and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD throughout your generations. You
shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance. 15 'Seven days you shall eat
unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven
from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the
seventh day, that person shall be cut off from
Exodus 12:24-28 "And you shall observe this thing
as an ordinance for you and your sons forever. 25 "It will
come to pass when you come to the land which the LORD will give you, just as He
promised, that you shall keep this service. 26 "And it shall
be, when your children say to you, 'What do you mean by this service?' 27

The Woman Who Anointed Jesus’ Head
Mark 14:3-9
Mark 14:3-9 And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper,
as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly
oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head.
4 But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and said,
"Why was this fragrant oil wasted? 5 "For it might have been sold for more
than three hundred denarii and given to the
poor." And they criticized her sharply. 6
But Jesus said, "Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a
good work for Me. 7 "For you have the poor with you always, and
whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do
not have always. 8 "She has done what she could. She has come
beforehand to anoint My body for burial. 9 "Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is
preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a
memorial to her."

1 Corinthians 11:17-34 Now in giving
these instructions I do not praise you, since you come together not for
the better but for the worse. 18 For first of all, when you come
