Following the destruction of Unimatrix Zero, the Borg found themselves aimlessly searching for a common goal until a new "Queen" came into power. The identity and origins of this Queen is unknown as of this time, but one thing is certain, she has been the driving force in the rebuilding of the Borg Collective and in their resumed assimilation of countless worlds. Current Status with the Federation: War, all Borg ships encountered are to be reported to SFHQ and engaged if possible. |

Following their joining the Dominion and their subsequent defeat during the war, the Breen have closed their borders to outsiders and have returned to their isolationist ways, therefore there is no way to know for certain what the Breen are up to at this time. Since there are no open hostility with them, they have been given the freedom to travel through Federation space although the same cannot be said for Starfleet ships travelling inside Breen space. |

Following the Dominion War, the Cardassians have been busy rebuilding their empire and are officially friends with the Federation although SFI is looking at this claim of friendship with great skepticism keeping a very close watch on the Obsidian Order and their increased activities. |

Following their defeat at the hands of the Federation, Klingon and Romulan alliance, the Dominion retreated back to the Delta Quadrant and strengthened their hold on those worlds they previously controlled in case others thought that this was a good time for an uprising. Having remained quiet for many years, the Dominion has not forgotten about the bitter defeat they suffered and have been spending a great deal of time and resources in rebuilding their troops. Some believe this to be a sign of an upcoming attack, others think that it is only the Founders way of insuring that the Dominion remains safe and prosperous. |

Having remained in isolation for over a century, the Gorn have reasserted themselves as a powerful race in the Galaxy through the expansion of their borders. This has led to isolated conflicts with almost ever other major race, but the treat that this expansion is representing has not been taken as seriously as some would like within the Federation Council. |

Following the destruction of Proxis and the request for help to the Federation, the Klingon Empire was granted membership into the Federation. Although the ruling council on Qo'NoS supports this joining, some rogue elements within the Klingon Empire see this as a sign of weakness are trying to see this membership end. Luckily their efforts are as weak as their numbers making them a minor threat to the Federation. |

As soon as the Alliance against the Dominion ended, the Romulan Star Empire in time returned to its ancient ways, turning their renewed military power against such races as the Breen, Gorn and even the Tholians. The Federation has been able to maintain peace so far but many believe that this could change at any moment quoting reports that show increased activities within the ranks of the Tal'Shiar. |

Not liking any other races, the Tholian Assembly have always kept their distances from the rest of the races, fiercely guarding their borders. So far their combat capabilities have been focused on the Romulans for the most part, allowing the Federation to watch without any involvement, standing ready to act should the conflict spill over into their space. |

After years of all out battle, expansion, and treaties, the game of war is no longer played by those brandishing firepower and instead by those with brainpower. The Federation has spread beyond it�s own ability to rule itself. At least this is what is believed by many officials located on the outer most worlds of this expended Federation, unfortunately those who reside on the main worlds located deep inside of the borders do not see these problems are claim that the Federation is stronger than ever. |
