DOCUMENTATION AND OTHER VENDOR REQUIREMENTS FOR GARDEN HOSES

OTHER MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

AS 2620.1:1983
Domestic garden hose - Reinforced hose
Classifies reinforced hose according to pressure rating, and includes requirements for length, diameter, wall thickness, low temperature flexibility, resistance to hydrostatic pressure and accelerated exposure.

GARDEN HOSES
• Must meet requirements of  AS 2620.1-1983 (all parts)
• Length and diameter must  match  claims
• Hose assembly must be be fit for purpose and withstand water pressures up to or exceeding 80psi.

Documentation must be supplied (in-house or external) for 
• UV resistance testing of plastic parts 
• Corrosion  resistance testing  of any metal parts
• Connect/disconnect endurance testing of snap-on connectors
• Pressure testing

Snap-on adaptors  must fit all standard Australian-size garden taps without leakage  and it must be possible for an ordinarily-abled person to fit and remove snap-on ftiings with one hand.
