A large collection of issued stamps from Liechtenstein dating back to 1912 and swopped stamps, dating from 1921 onwards, from other countries belonging to the International Philatelic Society, aroused an interest in opening a postal or stamp museum in Vaduz. ... ...At the moment the Postage Stamp Museum is to be found on the ground floor at Stadtle 37 in Vaduz.
Due to lack of space the exhibition is limited to a representative selection. Much of the collection is stored in archives and is not available to visitors. As a result of rebuilding works in 1975/76 the exhibition was reformed according to the most modern knowledge available and apart from saving space, the ultimate conditions for protecting items on display from damaging light were achieved. ...

Stamps are issued four times a year in Liechtenstein, at the beginning of March, June, September and December. This is usually a total of about 25 stamps with a face value of approx 30 Swiss Francs per year.
