Type X imprints were printed by 28 companies licensed by the government. They appear most often on checks, drafts, bills of exchange and certificates of deposit, as well as on time drafts, promissory notes, money orders, telegrams, cablegrams, parlor car tickets and express receipts for cans of milk.
