Sample listing (c.201010):
Greenlandic authorities made extensive use of a post-office-based savings system to help the citizens get through the lean winter months when fishing and hunting were not as productive. Wowern states that this system was introduced in 1927 in Northern Greenland; I have not seen any information indicating if the system was expanded beyond Northern Greenland. From the beginning until 1938, when Pakke-Porto stamps were discontinued, the Pakke-Porto (parcel post) stamps were used as the postal savings stamps. They were supposed to be canceled with a numbered "Avane" canceler, however, various other postal cancellations were used as well.
After the Pakke-Porto stamps were discontinued, in 1939 [Daka 1999] purpose-specific postal savings stamps "sitdlimat" (in Greenlandic) or "sparemærke" (in Danish) were issued. ...
In 1962, a new design with a central map of Greenland was issued, with the same denominations and roughly the same colors. ...
From 1957 to 1976 a school-based savings system was also in use and issued a set of 10 pictorial School Savings Stamps which are very scarce.

In an e-mail updating (c.201105) his URL John notes, "From about 2001 to 2006 I was fairly active in adding cachets to uncacheted envelopes, all clearly identified as Add-Ons on the back – "FDCUSA". Time permitting I would like to get back to that.
...Time permitting (;0) I plan to make public my image database of well over 80,000 FDCs from the 1920's to now. Shortly I will be able to generate color catalogues for these as well.", John White, May 14, 2011.
