The 2nd International
Artistamp Biennial opened with hundreds of visitors in attendance on December
5th; and through sales were not what we anticipated by the closing on December
29th, everyone was pleased with the success of the event.
A large 2-colour
poster with a commemorative sheet of six Artistamps attached was produced and
copies may be ordered directly from Davidson Galleries (303 Occidental Avenue,
Seattle, WA 98011 USA - Tel. (206) 624-7684) for $12 each (incl. tube and postage). In addition a
catalogue was produced which all participants received. Additional copies may
be ordered for $4 each.
Although no published
review has been brought to our attention, an article was printed in the
Seattle Times Dec. 20th.
You will note that
the exhibit is now a Biennial. That means that we are planning an exhibit of
Artistamps from the Collective in December 1993. We will be in touch
concerning shipment of your latest editions in mid-93. In the meantime, your
works are available for viewing and purchase at the Gallery. An updated
inventory of your works in the Collective will be sent whenever any works are
sold.
The Pacific Northwest
Artistamp Collective's International Invitational traveling exhibition (the
same as was shown at the Seattle's "Bumbershoot" Arts Festival in 1990) began
its Canadian tour at the Art Gallery of Memorial University in St. John's,
Newfoundland on Feb. 6/92. Exhibiting centers interested in booking this
exhibit should contact me directly for more details. Thanks for your
