Zoe Saldana was (A) born on June 19, 1978 and is (B) 35 years old, Passaic, NJ. Her late father, Aridio Saldana, was Dominican, and her mother, Asalia Nazario, is Puerto Rican. Her first languages are Spanish and English. She spent the majority of her early childhood growing up in Queens, New York. Her father died in a car accident when she was nine years old, and Salda�a and her mother subsequently moved to the Dominican Republic. (E) There, Salda�a discovered her love of dance and soon enrolled in the ECOS Espacio de Danza Academy; she studied ballet, jazz, and modern Latin dance.The family returned to Queens after her sophomore year in high school. She's also co-directed episodes for The Rope, a web series developed by Vin Diesel about bouncers and the world of nightlife. (C) In 2010, Saldana starred in The Losers in which she played Aisha al-Fadhil, for which she was required to gain weight, as she was expected to carry weapons around for eight hours a day. Saldana also appeared in Takers, Death at a Funeral and Burning Palms. Outside of acting, Saldana has a strong interest in fashion. She has appeared in Calvin Klein lingerie commercials, in which she's performed monologues offering tidbits on vulnerability, mystery and strength. In June 2010, Saldana became engaged to her long-time boyfriend Keith Britton, an actor and CEO of My Fashion Database. In November 2011, Saldana and Britton announced that they had ended their relationship after 11 years together. Saldana subsequently had an on-again, off-again relationship with actor Bradley Cooper from 2011 to late 2012.(D) Saldana married Italian artist Marco Perego in June 2013 in London and have no children.
