"Um, I'm uh...," Sarah said scrunching up her face. "Boyfriend?" She stood there with a confused look on her face, clinging to her towel. "I'll ask you one more time and one time only. WHO ARE YOU?" "I'm...no one. I'll leave." Sarah bent down and gathered her clothes off of the floor. She went to walk past the girl, but she slammed her hand down on the dresser, preventing Sarah from getting by. With the bed to her left and dresser to her right, she was trapped. "Oh no. I don't think so, sweetie. Now you have two choices. You either explain who you are or I'm calling security," the girl said in this calm, yet extremely condescending voice. "You know what? I have no idea who you are, and I don't have to explain anything to you," Sarah said in a firm voice. "Please move." Sarah's voice was firm, but the girl could detect fear in her eyes. "Okay. Have it your way." She moved her arm and let Sarah pass. They kept their eyes on each other as she walked by. She started heading towards the bathroom when she heard the distinct noises of a cell phone dialing. Fear arose in Sarah's body. Nick had always been adamant about keeping their affair quiet, and she knew that Backstreet's security would not recognize her. They would surely have her arrested. So without thinking, she ran over to the girl, who was still standing at the foot of the bed with her back to Sarah, and snatched the phone out of her hands just before she finished dialing. "What the hell..." the girl screamed. Sarah had startled her. "NO! You can't," Sarah told her. "YOU CRAZY BITCH! Have you lost your mind? Give me back my phone," she yelled, moving quickly towards Sarah. "No, wait. You can't call security," she said backing away, struggling to keep up her towel. "Oh. So now you're all gung ho to tell me who the hell you are," she said with a slight grin on her face. She was now standing in front of Sarah, her arms crossed. "You...you can't call security. I'll explain. Just let me explain," she told her handing back the cell phone. The girl snatched the cell phone away from her, tossed it on the bed, and stood there with her eyes locked on Sarah's. She quickly grew impatient. Her eyes narrowed and she glared at Sarah. "WELL! I'm waiting." Sarah's mind raced as she tried to come up with a decent explanation. Should she lie or just tell the truth? The truth. If she lied, she might get Nick into trouble. "Look. My name is Sarah. I'm just a friend of Nick's." "Hah," the girl laughed. "A friend? Sorry sweetie. Try again. Nick doesn't have friends. Female ones, anyway." She turned from Sarah and started to walk slowly away from her, gesturing with her arms while she was talking, as if she were lecturing Sarah. "Now, fans, he has plenty of." She suddenly spun around to look at Sarah. She leaned against the dresser and looked at her with a small grin on her face. She crossed her arms and said to her, "And groupies, he has even more of." Sarah started to get angry. How dare she imply that she was a groupie. She wasn't. No way. She and Nick had shared way too much. She was different. She was special. She wasn't like all the rest. "You know what? While we're on the subject, who are you?" Sarah asked with noticeable attitude in her voice. The girl gladly returned the attitude. "Excuse me?" "You heard me." "Oh come off it, BITCH. You know who I am," she said glaring at Sarah. She had dropped her towel and was pulling on her panties. She then threw on her bra and tank top. She stopped and started walking towards the girl. "You know, come to think of it, you do look familiar." She stopped, leaving a little distance between the two of them. "You're Mandy, right?" she said with a little skepticism in her voice. The girl nodded slightly. So it was her. Mandy. Sarah new she had looked familiar. She had heard some things about her, but not much. Nick never talked about his relationships as much as the other guys did. "Well, well, well. So you're Nick's girlfriend are you? You know, it's funny. I've been friends with Nick for a while now, and he's never mentioned you." "Is that so?" "Yeah. Sadly, it is." They were staring at each other intently in the eyes. "Even so, I'm not that surprised to see you hanging out in hotels, you reportedly being homeless and all. Seeing as how Nick keeps, and I quote Amanda from the December People of the Year issue of Rolling Stone, 'throwing you out and bringing you back'. I guess this time, he came to his senses and decided not to bring you back," she said with a satisfied grin on her face. She could see the anger rising in Mandy's eyes. "You know, that's just like you stupid, sad, pathetic little groupies. Always mouthing off about things you know absolutely nothing about." Sarah turned around and started to walk away. "Hah. Stupid? Who's the blonde one here?" Sarah went over and picked her skirt up off of the floor. As she did, she started singing. "I've come to tell you what's on my mind. Baby I have changed, I don't wanna keep playin' no games." She bent over and stepped her right leg into the skirt, while humming the rest of the oh so familiar tune. "Say no, say no more." She gave Mandy a quick smile and then stepped her other leg into her skirt. Before she knew it, she had been knocked on the floor. "OW," she cried out. She had hit her forehead on the night stand next to the bed. She felt Mandy's weight on her back as she took another blow to the head. "Get off of me," she called out. She managed to roll over and knock Mandy off of her. She stood up and yelled, "What's your problem? Are you cra...". Before she could finish her sentence, Mandy lunged at her, clawing her face. The force pushed Sarah up against the night stand. She was forced to sit on it, knocking the lamp on to the floor. "OH, YOU BITCH," Mandy screamed. Sarah did her best to fight her off, however she wasn't very successful. She tried several times to stand, but couldn't. The most she could do was throw up her arms to shield her face from Mandy's long, vengeful nails. They continued to claw at each other, their arms flying wildly through the air. Sarah managed to scoot sideways and off of the night stand. She made a run for the door, but was unsuccessful. Mandy picked the Bible up off of the floor, and flung it at Sarah. It knocked her in the side of her face. "Oh my god," she exclaimed, ironically, as she threw her hand up to her face. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU," Mandy yelled as she latched on to Sarah's shoulder length black hair. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Let go you crazy bitch!" Sarah threw her hands out and grabbed Mandy's hair and began to pull with all her strength. Before she knew it, she had a hold of a small portion of Mandy's shiny blonde hair. "Ow, Fuck," Mandy cried, letting go of Sarah's hair to soothe her own. Sarah seized the opportunity and shoved Mandy on to the floor. "You stupid bitch. You pulled my hair out," she said as she pulled her fingers away from her head. They were sprinkled with a few drops of blood. She didn't even bother getting off the floor to retaliate. She just sat there, her pulse racing, breathing heavily. Sarah leaned up aginst the wall, holding her hand on her face, still throbbing from the whack of the Bible. She opened up her other hand and watched as Mandy's hair floated down to the ground. The stayed in their places, quiet for about ten minutes. Fianlly, Sarah walked over and picked the lamp up off the floor. It had been flickering on and off ever since she knocked it over. She then slipped on her black platform flip flops. Mandy was still sitting on the floor, backed up against the side of the bed. Her legs were bent towards her. She had her right arm wrapped around them and her left one resting on her left knee, her hand caressing the small, bare spot on her head. She watched Sarah the whole time, and let her hands drop to the floor. She then laughed to herself and wrapped her arms around her knees. "I'm sorry bitch, but where the fuck do you think you're going?" she said in a calm, low-toned voice. Sarah simply rolled her eyes at her and walked to the door. She had it opened partway when she saw Mandy's arm suddenly slam it closed. Sarah jumped back. "I'm not going anywhere and neither are you," she said quietly into Sarah's ear. "We will settle this with the help of the ever so popular Nick Carter," she said as she stepped in front of Sarah. She leaned on the door with her arms folded, blocking Sarah's only exit. Completely out of energy due to the first tussle, Sarah just stepped off and went back into the room. Mandy followed. They stood there staring at each other for a while, anger and frustration flowing throughout both of their bodies. "You know, what exactly is your problem? What do I need to stay here for?" Sarah asked. "I shouldn't even have to answer that." "After all, your beef should be with Nick, not me." "Oh I beg to differ, bitch," Mandy said turning to Sarah. "It's because of nosy, overzealous, fanatical, psychotic, jealous groupies and fans like you that I can't have a normal, decent relationship. Maybe if you all would just come out of your little fantasy worlds and get a grip on reality, I wouldn't have such an attitude. And I will tell you this," she said getting right up in Sarah's face. "You will never be with Nick Carter. Not today, not ever, not in this lifetime. Do you understand me?" "Why'd you two break up in the first place?" "We had issues." "Well then don't blame it on me if you can't keep up your end of the relationship. Not that I can blame Nick. If I had a girlfriend as psycho as you, I'd throw you out too." Sarah couldn't move fast enough to avoid the stinging slap from Mandy's palm. It caused her to stumble backwards. Sarah held her hand up to her face to ease the pain. "Oh, you bitch. You're gonna get it!" she yelled as she went for Mandy. Just before she made contact, she heard a voice from behind her. "Now now ladies. Play nice. Don't make me have to separate you two."
