Duck Soup Mix

Duck Soup is available at most pet shops and it is used as substitute feeding when a ferret is ill and/or does not want to eat its regular food.
Here again it is wise to get your ferret used to eating it as a treat, just in case your ferret gets ill and won't eat its normal dry kibbles.

The simplest way to make Duck Soup is to use the normal high protein dry kibble food your ferret eats, crush it until just about powder form, add hot water to make a paste and add Ferretive (or other high calorie supplements) to the consistency your ferret will eat. Just add more water if it is too thick, add more crushed kibble and ferrative if too thin.

There are numerous recipes on the Internet for homemade Ducksoup like the following sites.
