GD TIPS

SET 1:

I guess the tips I am providing will help you.

1. always be the initiator and concluder of the GD then being a participant.

2. But if you are participant always try to be the most vital/key participant.

3. put points firmly and always try to get others support too.

4. if you find that the discussion Is going off-track then never loose an opportunity to bring it back to stream this is the best point to score max.

6. be very polite , people may try to provoke you to to get more points but try to keep cool.

7. most important don't wait for your turn to speak when discussion is on. interrupt politely if you want to put forward your points.

8. last but not the least keep atab on the time given for discussion. score points by wrapping up the discussion if you feel that the discussion is heating but the time is going to be over.

9. during conclusion, do end with the conclusion note. that shows your leadership quality.

4. your capability to keep your cool and listen as well as putting your points.

GD basically means searching your team player, leadership, communication capability.

1. The person who begins or concludes will clam the maximum marks. This shows the leadership qualities.

Since every one is aware of these tricks, every one will obviously try to begin first. U can grab the opportunity by doing something unusual at the instant the watch is started in order to attract the attention of others.

Try tapping the table or let your cell ring at the instance. Believe me. This would definitely help.

2. The most important thing is to remember the names of all your group members and to address them with there names. DON'T ADDRESS ANY ONE WITH "friends" or "Plz listen". This point shows the other person that u r capable of accepting the responsibilities.
3. Even if U could not start the discussion, don't worry. U can still get through the GD. Make sure that U speak for at least three to four times in the given time. Don't underdo it or overdo it. Under doing it ensures that U r only a silent spectator. Over doing it ensures that u r dominating.

4. Wait for a pause when the other person is speaking and cleverly take over the conversation by using the phrases "I would like to take from the queue...." or " Yes. I do agree with you Mr. ...., But ......".

5. If the other person is trying to dominate U, then tell him very politely " Let me finish Mr. ... , and then U can speak". After u cover your point then tell the same person " Now, U may Plz continue....". In spite of this if he tries to dominate u, let him speak. By doing so, U are gaining the point while he is loosing his.

6. Don't show that u completely disagree with your group met. Try saying your some point as "Don't u think Mr. ..., that we can put your point this way. Don't u think this is better..".

7. Support others points if u agree and add some more points to make them stronger.

8. Initiate the silent spectator by saying " What do U sy Mr....."

9. If some one is trying to speak and is being dominated by others, initiate him by saying " U can always say."

10. BUT REMEMBER. U WILL HARDLY GET 1 MINUTE/ PERSON TO SPEAK. EVERYONE WILL TRY TO DOMINATE U. ADDRESSING WITH THEIR NAMES AND RISING YOUR VOICE IS A VERY GOOD TRICK TO GRAB YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK.

11. POINTS 8 AND 9 ARE NOT RELATED TO THE NO. OF TIMES U TALK.

12. If possible give new and creative ideas to the group.

13. Finally coming to the conclusion part. When there is only one or two minutes left, the try to sum up the points of the discussion and conclude. Stating the strong points of each individual is a very good idea.

14. IF SOMEONE WANTS TO CONCLUDE IN SPITE OF YOUR COMMENCEMENT TO CONCLUDE, ALLOW HIM TO CONCLUDE. BUT BE ALERT AND WAIT FOR ANY PAUSE HE WOULD GIVE. ONCE U GET THIS POINT, GRAB IT AND CONTINUE YOURSELF.
EVEN IF CAN NOT BEGIN THE DISCUSSION, U CAN DEFINITELY CONCLUDE IT NO MATTER WHAT.

will definitely get through GD if u follow these tips strictly.
