Dhyanam or meditation invokes Sri Lalithambika in our mind(or in any of the things like a photo or lamp). It is a customary
procedure to do the Nyasam & Dhyanam before chanting any Sahasranamam. This part is very important as through out the
duration of the Japam or Puja we have to bear this form of Sri Matha in mind.Anganyasam is a protection for all our body parts & the Karanyasam for our fingers. Digh Bandhanam creates a virtual shield around the
Upasaka or devotee so that the bad things or obstacles do not affect him or her.

Description : For this Lalitha Sahasranama Stothram various components are:
- Rishi : Vashini & VagDevatha
- Chandas : Anushtub
- Devatha : Sri Lalitha Parameswari
- Bheejam : Srimath Vaghbhava Kootam
- Shakthy : Madhya Kootam
- Keelakam : Shakthy Kootam
- Dhyanam : Moola Prakruthi
Any slokam or Sahasranamam has all the above compnents. The Rishis are the ones, who compose the actual verse. Unlike all other
Sahasranamams, Sri Vagh Devi or Sri Saraswathy herself had composed Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam. Vag Devi is the
owner or the commander of all the words. So it is remarkable that Vag Devi has composed this with all the sweetest
of sweet words in Sanskrit, which is rich in vocabulary!!The format of the poetry is "Anushtub".The main Diety is Sri Lalithambika . Sri PanchaDashakshari or the
fifteen-lettered syllable has three parts.
- Sri Vaghbhava Kootam - the first V letters from I letter to the V one
- Sri Madhya Kootam - the middle part or the letters from VI letter to the X one
- Sri Shakthy Kootam - the last part or the letters from XI letter to the XV .
SriPanchaDashakshari is the representation of SriMatha herself. The I part or the Vagghbhava Kootam is her Mukham or face,
Madhya Kootam is her body upto her hips & Shakthy Kootam is her last part upto the legs. There three Kootams or parts form the
Bheejam,Shakthy & Keelakam for Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Stothram respectively & the Moola Prakruthy or the basic nature forms
the Dhnyanam.
