The Tea Party

Christmas is in the air

And we ve all come to tea

So hand around the teapot,

And pass the milk-jug, please.

So nice to be invited

And be the lucky ones-

Do you think there will be fairy-cakes,

Or even finger-buns?

Who made the lovely lamingtons-

Was it me or was it you?

Let me offer you the sugar-

Will you have one lump or two?

We love to come together

To greet our Saviour s birth;

The love we give each other

Is a sign of peace on earth.

And if only for a moment

We sit back, quiet and still,

We know He is among us

By our joy and our good will.
