Guestbook |
The Guest I have dusted all my furniture And picked the rosebuds gay; And I have swept my little house As long as you will stay.
Oh, I have baked a loaf of bread, And fetched my curds and plums; You shall have apples, honeysweet, If only you will come.
I ve scrubbed my pots and shiny pans; I ve washed my kitchen floor; I ve hung my pictures on the wall- Put “Welcome” at the door.
Oh, will you come and see my house As you are passing by? If you will tell me it is nice, I need no other joy.
If you will sit and eat with me- A time of meeting share- Only once is all I need Eternal bliss to bear.
