How I See You

Jesus, Lord, I know You
Indwelling in the hour;
Your footprints in the dust
And Your fragrance in the flower.

I feel You in my heartbeats;
I breathe You with my breath;
You hover over me in life-
You wait for me in death.

You are present, ever near me,
And never far away;
You are the King of glory
As the sun rules in the day.

Your brightness in the living light,
Your power in the wind;
Your brilliance in the gift of sight
Your hiddenness to find.

I see You in the flight of birds,
And as the eagle soars;
I find You in the awesome beasts,
And as the lion roars.

It is Your Spirit moving
When You create the world;
You move upon the waters
Like a flag that is unfurled.

Not a dream or vision all Divine
Or a Glory set apart;
Unseen by earthly eyes of mine
Your presence in the heart.

I read You like a picture book
And Nature is the page;
Within each tiny grain of sand
You dwell from age to age.

No vision, dream or fantasy
But life forevermore-
O Lord, Who art Reality
I worship and adore!
