An Angel Came
An angel came from Heaven
And to the shepherds said:
A Child is born in Bethlehem
And in a manger laid.
O let us go to Bethlehem
And see this wondrous thing!
Pay our homage to the Child
That made the Angels sing."
Jesus, let me worship You
With the shepherds at the stall-
Let me offer You my gift:
This heart to love You ALL!
Let me come to Bethlehem
Where once was born our King,
And with the shepherds worship,
And with the Angels sing!
The world that longs for happiness-
That war and strife may cease,
In this Child will find salvation,
And in Bethlehem, true peace.
