| Many of the herbs can be found at the grocery stores, specialty shops, and health stores. Flowers can be bought from floral shops, then taking home, dryed and crushed. You can also find these items via the internet shops. Back in my ancestors days they did not have stores so they had to grow them or go searching for them in the woods and meadows. If you go out to find them on your own, make sure you know what the herb is, mistakes can be very dangerous. You may want to take with you a guide book to help you indentify the herbs. You can find one at most book stores. Take your athame or boline with you to cut the herbs, don't take more then you need, and don't take a baby plant (give it time to grow) Also take with you a paper bag or a cheesecloth wrap to put your cuttings in. You may also want to make up an offering to take with you so as to give back to mother earth for that which you are taking from her. ( give and ye shall receive ) When your herbs get old and unuseable, throw them outside into the grass so that they may become one with the earth again. The four elements are the basis of our universe and all within it. Without them nothing would exsist. Everything we know of and everything we don't, are made up of one or more of the elements.
