here are some photos from my christmas trip to kyoto, japan. kyoto is considered to be the cultural heart of japan, and is the setting for the excellent novel, "memoirs of a geisha." please keep in mind that i don't know too much about japanese cultures, so my comments here are all opinion or educated guesses.
