Phillips, Glenn (former lead singer of Toad the Wet Sprocket): My favorite autographing experience. After seeing him do a solo acoustic show, a number of people lined up to get his autograph. A few people in front of me were talking to Glenn about how much his music meant to them and then they asked him if they could give him a hug. How sappy. So, when it was my turn for an autograph, I jokingly told him that I just wanted an autograph and didn't need a hug. He then just smirked and told me, "You need to get over your homophobia" and then proceeded to give me a big bear hug. It was quite funny.
