I am not mearly in awe
of what I might find
down the pathway
around the next bend
or over
each succeeding hill
It is far more
It is insideous
in its abilities
It insinuates itself
into my very being
striving to take me over
with all the
base drives of the
most primal instincts
which all creatures
have birthed within
their very spines
