"HUMANITY" – YOU GAVE ME A STORY
Last of the Appreciation Letters
Empowering our spirit
This is a combination letter that get a little deeper that the others
Little do we realize how much our lives are a story.
We go about our everyday task of living without ever giving it a thought.
Now I can look back and see how I was trapped by the stories I was told.
I was told stories about how great I should be and the things that would make my life better.
I was told to be good and always do the right thing (don’t lie, cheat, steal, etc and give more than your share).
To be frugal and not waste anything. These stories of perfection in my actions led me down a path of always striving for something I didn't have. Of wanting to be somewhere else, -desiring to be something or someone else, - demanding a new experience, - never satisfied with what I had, and worst of all not fully appreciating all I had when I had it.
They were consumer-based stories.
They weren’t bad stories but they zeroed in on me as not being something without having everything. In out reality (the consumer reality) they’re very true and it applies to everyone. In a way it’s a good story because it allows you to have in a world of have and have not's.
Then there were stories about how good I was doing and how great I was. All the other stories about how to achieve results in my life. And I saw the stories told to others about how they should be. We all had a story told to us about how to live life.
When we come to the end of our journey here we will have left a story.
A legacy of our existence which does make a difference on our impact or way we have interacted and affected things.
What we leave is what others have to use; our reality is theirs until they can create one of their own.
Hence the reason all our actions making a difference, -- the reason we should listen to the stories so we can function in our societies as contributing members.
But the problem has always been that the stories we were told was by a consciousness that couldn't see itself.
In other words the stories were based on actions not thought (I don’t mean to say humans don’t think its just that their thinking was trapped by the reality they inherit). — Their thoughts came from the actions of those before them that developed whatever their thinking process was. (The paradigm trap of consciousness structures)
This short take on stories is far too extensive to cover here and is thoroughly covered in book II of Mayon's Stories Spiritualizing A Species.
I wanted to bring this up to give you something to reflect on in the process of digesting the appreciation letters.
The final point of these letters in this very short take on stories is," none of it matters without you".
It doesn’t matter what kind of society it is communist, capitalist, socialist or any other kind of societal structure—even the one proposed that goes beyond any social structure we have ever known.
All the grand schemes and plans man comes up on how to create societies and conduct the affairs of life mean little when you come down to the basics of our lives.
You gave me a story, - it is through you that my life has meaning.
The stories of my life revolve around you. If we can integrate this story into our being in a positive way, we can learn the grace of forgiveness that passes understanding, -something that will allow the polarity of our being to change the story of our lives. It creates a base to move beyond the consumerism societies we have created. (All the societies we have ever created are consumer-based societies).
So you see our societies have never told a story about how to really see our reflection because of their association to our separation as individuals. Meaning they have always looking at themselves as individuals instead of societies.
I have to stop here this letter is already longer than its allotted words
I don’t believe humans understand yet how important we are to each other, and until we do I suppose we will continue to be our own worst enemy.
I will do what I can to heal the hurts I have brought on by the life I lived. –
Perhaps in some way these letters can add a healing dimension to the past and empower the present to lessen the burdens of the hates injustices and miseries we as humans sometimes inflict on each other.
In Appreciation of You -
