The Garden of Arcane Vanity
or is it "esoteric futility?"

Who cares?

Simply this is a bundle of nothing that perhaps you just could not pass.
Indeed what are these people about who own these monster puppies?

Kelley and I met in September 1992 through my best friend (who married Kelley's sister in 1997) and were married 7 June, 1998 within Lee Chapel on the campus of Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. The music was of particular interest: two of the songs were our polyphonic creations and the other two were piano renditions of "Alice" by the Cocteau Twins and an amazing version of The Cure's "Homesick." We are both Christians and adamantly hold dear our Savior, Jesus Christ. We currently reside in Columbia, Missouri (or is it Missoura?), with family based in Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina and Maryland.
Quien es Kelley?

I am going to let Kelley do this eventually, But for now:
She is a nanny and presently 24 years old.
Graduated from Liberty Univ. in Lynchburg, VA with a BA in English.
She abounds in artistic ability, being an excellent singer, drawer, painter, photographer (when she tries) and is quite apt on the bass.
Her vehicle of choice is a purple '69 VW Beetle.
Charles indeed.

Let us see, I am 23 and enrolled in the
Anthropology Dept. at the Univ. of Missouri as a grad student. My planned focus (it is my first year) is the archaeology of Pre-dynastic Egypt (think before the pharaohs).

I graduated from
Washington & Lee Univ. in 1998 with a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology. W&L is a small, competitive liberal arts college that has not lost its country club feel. Beautiful scenery is limitless. I wholeheartedly recommend the school as long as you are mature enough to think for yourself. There is a lot of group mentality and it is easy to become a follower. A lot of alcohol...

Enough of that. Do I really do anything?
I play guitar (woo-hoo!), my prize being my custom Ovation 12-string Balladeer, though I love the vintage Ibanez electric I have. It would be hard to live without on-board distortion and 3-band EQ.

Favorite bands (extant)
: The Cure, Radiohead, Portishead, Spiritualized, The (Storm in Heaven) Verve
Favorite bands (defunct)
: Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, Dead Can Dance (Lisa's solo stuff is good; we will have to see about Brendan's).
Favorite band somewhere out there
: My Bloody Valentine

As you can see I do not like much American music. You can pretty much guess the route Kelley and I will take when we record.

Favorite TV shows
: The X-Files, The Simpsons, The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes, Fox News in general, Into the Unknown, other shows about intrigues of nature or ancient civilizations, Ally McBeal, Millennium, Seinfeld, Three's Company. You have got to love the Crocodile Hunter, Joe Bob Briggs and those crazy Fox specials.

Favorite movies
: Nightmare Before Christmas, Ed Wood, Star Wars trilogy (Empire Strikes Back really is the best), Indiana Jones trilogy, Braveheart, A Clockwork Orange, The Usual Suspects, Seven, LA Confidential, Shallow Grave, Dangerous Liasons, Apocalypse Now. There are plenty more of which I have not thought.

Favorite writers: Albert Camus, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Charles Baudelaire, some Sappho, Aeschylus and Euripides, Leo Tolstoy, Gogol, Moliere, Oscar Wilde, Stephen Crane's poetry, WB Yeats, TS Eliot, Aristophanes...

But do I do anything?
I assume not. I am constantly writing music and reading and studying and cooking and it seems so minuscule.
