This week marks the first anniversary of the day I finally got my driver's license. Sure, I had to go to Charlotte to achieve that dream, but it was well worth it. I got my license on May 15, 2006, and I have been driving in and around Charlotte ever since then. I still have not driven to Maryland yet, but that's what I plan to do before the year is through.

So how did I spend my anniversary? Well, I had to take my Corolla in for an oil change, and I paid it by check. I absolutely love my car, and I'd definitely recommend a Toyota to anyone who's looking for a very reliable and fun-to-drive vehicle. As I've told everyone who's asked me about it, it was a Christmas gift from my mother, and I'll be forever grateful to her for giving me the best Christmas gift ever.

So will I drive back to Baltimore this year? With the way gas prices have been, it's highly unlikely, but I would like to make it up there for the holiday season, preferably around Christmas. But we'll see about that...
