Weeks 1 and 2 in Review
Well, I had an eventful two weeks back in class...The major news story is that I was involved in a terrible car accident, and I'll never be able to drive to school for the rest of this year again, since the car is now a total loss. In addition, I suffered the worst injury of all the drivers involved, which was an injury to the left eye that occurred when the airbag blew up. There is now a deal in place, that when I drive again, I'll have to get my own insurance and buy my own car. I currently wear a patch over my left eye, which is healing rather nicely. When I told everyone at school about the accident, they were all sympathetic towards me, and that's a welcome change from January. Even those who originally didn't like me all that much are now beginning to accept me for who I am, which never happened in high school. In fact, it makes me feel better about the whole thing, and that was one more thing that could've been avoided in the first place. In order to get my own car/insurance, I'd have to move to a new address, and in order to move to a new address, I'd have to get a job. I'm hoping that I can start my internship by October. Meanwhile, I know that some of my old high school classmates are laughing because they wanted me to fail, and somewhere in Chicago, a guy named Ricky is taunting me with his "idiot" comments. But this year, I'm determined not to let it get to me, since no one on campus is doing it to me yet. Hopefully, the next 14 weeks will get better, and I have a feeling that it's going in that direction. In the meantime, I'll take a mix of daytime and online classes from now on.
