The King of Charlotte
Telling it like it is, live from the Queen City!
Reviewing Week 12
Coming down the homestretch of my second semester, I've had to face some of the biggest challenges of my life. Not just academically, but also, socially: It's been a while since I last saw any of my friends, but now it's come to a point where I realize that just having them on MySpace or Facebook won't cut it anymore, and I'm still letting their numbers go to waste. The worst part about it is, some of them will be graduating next month, which means that I'll have to find new friends to replace them, just as I did last year. I can finally see that I need to make the big adjustment if I have any chance of remaining where I currently am, and so I need to call them on a regular basis. They may be younger than me, but I like them because they really are different from my similar-aged former high school classmates, and they've also reminded me that high school is over, and I really need to move on from the worst four years I've ever had to go through. I went to see the symphony, and I had fun that night. It's hard to believe that the end is only four weeks away, but I'm ready to take summer classes again. I already know that I need to take another math and English course to fulfill the degree requirements for both departments, and I'm also planning to take Communications. Then I'll have my second year to finish up the remaining credits, and I'll be done with my long-overdue degree! I'm thinking of taking a summer internship with an IT company, or at least a weekend job so I can pay for my very own needs. It's time to make the big comeback...
