Seems to me that Spring Break is getting closer and closer each day...And now it's fast approaching. In the weeks since I last saw any of my friends, I've been trying to focus on my classwork. I'm also starting to see a therapist uptown, and I got to tell her my side of the story, as well as all the times that I was mistreated in middle and high school. The more I talk about it, the more I realize that leaving Maryland was the absolute right thing to do. Of course, there's a strong possibility that I might have to return, and that means leaving behind everyone I love. Speaking of which, I went to my cousin's memorial service, where there was lots of singing, celebrating and good food. Since he was the kind of guy that would make everyone smile, this is the kind of service he would've wanted. He died a week ago today, and was cremated shortly afterwards. So I'm trying to get through this rough time, but I'm happy that he's in a better place, and I didn't feel any sadness at all, because I was very fortunate to have known him for many years. I'm still getting over the flu, but I've had a steady improvement. My headache is gone, and I'm no longer feeling dizzy when I try to stand. The medicine definitely helped, so I feel better. Now I can refocus on being myself again...
