Telling it like it is, live from the Queen City!
Farewell to 2007
Another year is about to end, and it's had its usual ups and downs. I've made more new friends than in any other year, most of who I still see every day on campus, and will see again this upcoming semester. I've now had my car for one year, as of December 23. I still love it, and so does everyone else. I didn't get anything half as nice this time around, but it doesn't matter because I still got to spend it with the ones I love the most. Haven't I told you that I just completed my first semester of college? After the next semester ends in May, I will have accumulated 30 of the required 69 credits, and that doesn't include the 1 credit of Academics that I took last year. Already, I'm looking into another summer of English and math courses, as well as Communications. By then, I will have 39 credits. Oh, how they add up...If there is one thing that I want more than anything else in 2008, it would have to be a relationship with a female. I would estimate that at least half of my friends are in relationships that they enjoy most, and I'm waiting for my time to come. I will admit that I never liked Valentine's Day because I felt the holiday was too fake, and I was always alone on that day. But the one excuse I have used the most is that my late grandmother was born on February 14, and every year, I make sure to honor her birthday. She died before Christmas in 1995, but I still remember her birthday, because to me, it's always been more important than Valentine's Day. I am sort of the Valentine's Grinch with a cold heart on the occasion. Whenever I see stuffed bears, boxes of chocolate and anything shaped like a heart, I just want to get away from the scene, but I will have to try a totally different approach next time around, since this is the closest that I've ever been to actually having a relationship. Time will tell...
