Goodbye, Doug and Carrie!
Tonight marks the series finale of one of my favorite shows--no, make that my favorite show on TV--"The King of Queens." For nine years, Doug and Carrie Heffernan have brought the laughs, and not an episode goes by where they don't do or say at least one funny thing. I love all the characters on the show, especially Arthur Spooner, the funniest old man on TV. He really knows how to make my day. Doug doesn't really need the rest of the cast to support him, but they do it so well anyway. In no particular order, here are my ten favorite quotes from the show: "Oy!" (Carrie) Not only am I recording the series finale, I plan to buy enough tapes to record the whole series, from beginning to end. Although the show is leaving CBS tonight, you can still catch your favorite reruns on your local TV station (check local listings, of course). In Charlotte, you can catch the show weekdays at 6:30 and 7 p.m. on Fox Charlotte/Channel 18. Now, I must end this post because my favorite show is on! But I promise, I'll provide an update on how it ends in a future post. I wish Kevin James, Leah Remini, Victor Williams, Patton Oswalt, Gary Valentine, Nicole Sullivan, and Jerry Stiller the best of luck in their future endeavors, and I want to thank them for making the "King of Queens" what it is: one of the last great sitcoms, because they keep it real. Once again, I have to watch the show to see how it ends, but I'll keep you posted later on... 2007-05-15 01:06:11 GMT
