Week 5 Review
Another week has come and gone...I'm still doing extremely well in college, and if everything works out, I will have my Associates Degree in 2009. Now, if only I had a job...I called Food Lion, and they were hiring for a part-time stocker position. I've already stopped there twice, and they said they'd call me when they're finished going through applications. I really need this job to pay for the gas in my car, and a few other necessities, such as food and cleaning supplies. If you're wondering why my father came last week, he was invited to a relative's wedding, and it turned out great. Next month, I plan to go to Winston-Salem to celebrate another relative's 100th birthday. The next thing I should do is to take some time out to be with my friends, because I sometimes study so much that I don't have too much time for them. At least they also go to CPCC, and I should use every opportunity to be with them. For now, we meet at lunchtime, but I see a lot of new and exciting things ahead, like going out dancing, and road trips to many places. In fact, I'll have to start saving up for a road trip to Atlanta next year. That trip is currently in the planning stages, and it may be called off at any time. Already, everyone is saying they'd like to go, so the pressure is on me to start working again! I'll look through different itineraries for Atlanta, because I'd really like to take them there. With such a large crowd, I know I cannot fit all of them into my car, so someone else will have to drive. I'm estimating we'd need at least three or four cars for the proposed Atlanta trip, and I will gladly pay for the hotel room, meals and gas for my own car. Until then, I will try to make a better effort to be with my friends more, while still finding time to study. In fact, I'm planning to use some new cards with the same information as before. Not only that, but I will also give out my own contact information for the first time. Check back in next week, when I tell you how my friendships are going, and hopefully, they'll hold up pretty well. 2007-09-21 12:12:43 GMT
