SPLIT ENDS / BOOT LIVE AT DINO'S - 1968 C.D. NOW AVAILABLE!
The Band began in 1964 in High School as the ALLUSIONS. By 1966, the British Invasion made it's mark, and they became THE SPLIT ENDS, making one 45 for Charles Fuller Productions in Tampa, Florida in 1966. The famous, "Rich With Nothin'." It went nowhere, even with the help of Fuller's other artist at the time, The ROYAL GUARDSMEN. The flipside was "Endless Sea,: and another song recorded in early 1967 has not seen the light of day until now, "Solitary Man." By 1970, they followed the blues/rock genre popular at the time, becoming BOOT (Blues of Our Times), making one LP for Agape, part of Starday/King Records in 1971, and another, even rarer LP for Guiness in 1977.

The SPLIT ENDS - 1967
The Split Ends made a Trip out to LA in 1968 to appear on Dick Clark's HAPPENING '68 as part of the Battle of the Bands Segment. Reportedly BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD won the night's competition. This Compact Disc contains 14 Live Recordings done at Dino's, Clearwater, Florida in the Summer of 1968. Though still calling themselves The SPLIT ENDS, many songs in their live concerts were
their own originals being perfected and used later for their first and second Studio albums as by "BOOT" in 1971 and 1977. By about 1979, they added a female vocalist, and started doing the "Holiday Inn" circuit. By the early 1980's, they became a Beatles Tribute band. Today, one member is dead, one's a handyman, one still works in a band, and the other's where-abouts are unknown. This is the only C.D covering the band's early recorded output.
