The scene opens in a familiar location.  It's the BBQ Pit.  Spike is sitting over in a corner booth, facing the middle of the establishment.  A waitress walks over to him and asks to take his order.

Waitress: What can I get you sir?

He gazes over the menu for a few more seconds and then replies.

Spike: Can I get a plate of hit wings with a side order of ribs?  And a large coke.

She jots it down on the notepad in her hands and turns to the man sitting opposite Spike.

Waitress: What about you Craig, are you have anything?

Spike grins over at SCCW reporter Craig James.

Spike: She knows you by first name.

Craig gives a defensive look towards Spike before looking back at the waitress.

Craig: I'll just have my usual please Jenny.

She nods politely and then turns and walks away.  Craig looks back to Spike to see him stifling a laugh.

Spike: First name terms, and a 'usual', you eat here way too often Craig.

Craig: Nothing wring with enjoying good food.

Spike: Can't argue with you there.  Anyway, what were saying just?

Craig: I was about to say, you did well at the awards show the other day didn't you?

Spike: You could say that.

Craig: How did it feel?

Spike: What?

Craig: The Hall of Fame? And the Wrestler of the Year award.

Spike: it's indescribable, obviously.  Being the only person in the history of SCCW to be inducted into the hall of fame, it's incredible.  And the wrestler of the year, well, that's just as good.  What I achieved last year wasn't matched by anybody.  No-one even came close.  Eight Championship wins, numerous awards, a win column anyone would be envious of, and it all had a purpose.  I was acknowledged for what I did, and for that I am thankful to SCCW.  I became the Franchise of this place, and they appreciate what I have done for them, as I appreciate what they have done for me.  The only thing that stopped the end of this year being magnificent was my loss to Ryan Burns.  I could've been sitting here waiting for a shot at the Simcoe County Heavyweight title, but he has it instead.  When we fought, he was the better man, and I respect him for that.  There's no bad feelings between us, we both knew what was at stake in that match, and he knows we'll meet again.

Craig: That must've been a bitter feeling, losing that match.

Spike: Yeah it was, but my chance will come around again, you can be sure of that.

Craig: What about your match this week?  You're Tuesday Night Titans debut?

Spike: My match with Darkside?  Well, I'm not really sure what to make of it.  The guys seems unpredictable at best.  Look at his record, he's actually behind in the win loss race.  I didn't think he was.  I thought he was a force to  be reckoned with here, maybe I was wrong.

Craig: He has proved dangerous in the past, maybe he's just hitting a slump.

Spike: I don't know.  He's been here for a long time now, and when I come to think about him, I can't recall a single fact about him.  Did he fight for a title?  Has he won a title?  I really and honestly don't know.

Craig: Now you say that, I'm not so sure.

Spike: I don't know what to expect from Damion on Tuesday.  Do I go out there prepared to fight a battle?  Or do I get ready to walk all over him?  The only thing I remember about this guy is that he claims to be a 'misfit'.  People have a certain view of the way others should look and act.  And if people digress from that view, they get judgmental about you.  I've never been one to conform to peoples views, I mean looks at me, I wear kilts to the ring, but I've always been able to shut my critics up.  I don't know if he can.  He has gotten into the tiny bit of spotlight that he has by looking different, not by wrestling his way to the top.  I'm confident about my ability in that ring, but I'm not sure he's confident about his.  People who act different try to do it to get noticed.  I started after I got noticed, so I know my 'fame' hasn't come from that.  What can he say?  Has he got the accolades to prove that it is his skills getting noticed, not the strange masks he wears?  I doubt it.  I want him to prove me wrong.  I want him to get me ready for what is to come for me.  I want him to break me back into the 'game' after our break. 

Craig: What do you mean, 'What is to come?'

Spike: Anyone watching SCCW should know what I mean.  The Mercenaries Mike Austin and Wolf, Extreme Warrior and the rest of Team NWA, the returning Jay Jerzey, the list of challenges keeps going.  This year is going to be the toughest to date for me.  Everything I did last year was preparation.  I need to be better than I was last year if I'm going to come out on top again this year.  All that is without even mentioning the NeWA.  With SCCW branching out, I finally get a shot at the NeWA World Heavyweight title, and I cannot blow that.  I need to be ready, I need to be back to how I was.  And Damion Darkside is the starting point of all that.  He is the one that will get me back on track.  My loss to Ryan Burns side-tracked me, derailed me momentarily, but Damion will fall victim to me and I will not stop until I can truly call myself the best.

Craig: Some already call you that though?

Spike: Some is not enough.  I don't need everyone to recognize it, but there are some who I do.  NBK, Chris Bond, Jerzey, they are all just some  of the people that I need to show what I am capable of.  Last year is over now, this Tuesday, at TNT, it all begins again.  My journey restarts, and I guess we'll just have to wait and see where it takes me.

Spike finishes talking as the waitress returns with the drinks and the food.  The two men stop talking and begin to eat as the camera zooms out slowly and the scene fades to black.
