"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled. They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake. These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one." Canadian renegades...more like Canadian dead men The scene opens to find Spike sitting on a black leather settee in a partially dark room. The only light in the room is coming from the roaring fireplace and the two small lamps in opposite corners. As the camera pans out a little, it finds Jane, his girlfriend, sitting next to him on the settee, obviously part way through a conversation. Spike: It just annoys me. The guy wins one match and thinks he's God. Jane: But to him, it was the most important night of his life. In his mind, he proved all of his doubters wrong by winning the title. Spike: You heard what he's said this week, he thinks he's untouchable now. All his career he has been on the losing end of title matches and most matches in general, but now, he wins one match and that's it. His ego is going to be out of control soon. I mean already he's talking trash about me not thinking that I'll make him eat his words. Jane: How do you mean? Spike: Well, when he was talking about beating me, he kept saying 'the last two times' we fought. The first time, I handed him his ass, I beat him fairly and he couldn't deal. Now that he beat me, he'll keep running his mouth about the first time being a fluke, when he knows damn well that the only fluke that happened was when he walked out with the title. Jane: I know what you're saying, but eventually, he'll get his comeuppance. Spike: No, not eventually. Sunday. I'm going to prove to him and the entire world, that I have his number, and that was a one night only deal. I'm going to beat him in the middle of the ring and earn my re-match for the title. Jane: That's what I like to hear, but don't forget, it's not just you and him in there. It's also Ryan and that Steele guy. Spike: I won't forget. This match is basically two personal vendettas though. I want CPT, and Ryan wants to prove for the fourth time that he has Jason's number. I know that Ryan is the real deal, and I know that he will watch my back. When I face him, I went on about respect and doing things on your own. Since he lost to me, he became a changed man. He ditched his manager, and now, he still wants it just as much, but he's earning it off his own back. I respect that now, so I have no problem with him. I hope I can say the same for him and that he doesn't hold a grudge against me for ending his streak, so that we can get on with the task at hand and stick it to the Canadian Renegades. Jane: Do you think what CPT said will bug you? Spike: C'mon Jane, the guy rambled on for hours, you're going to have to narrow it down a but more than that. Jane: *Jane laughs a little* The bit about Ryan being more focused on Coma and that other title than on your match. Spike: Nah, it's CPT, he'll say anything to try to shit stir things. He knows that focused or not, Ryan could kick his ass, so he's just trying to make us argue amongst our selves, and that just won't happen. Sure Ryan is probably thinking about the Barrie title, he be stupid not to be, but he's the type of guy who stays focused on the now and will worry about that when he comes to it. Jane: What about Jason, do you think he will pose a threat to you, I mean, I hate to bring it up, but you know your history with him. Spike: Yeah I know, but he's different now. The Jason Steele that beat me for the Barrie District title isn't the same one who has become CPT's bitch. That Jason was one that would've fought with honor and one who had my respect. Now, the Jason that stands behind CPT, is one that I don't respect at all. Since he beat me, he's spiraled. He won the Young Guns title, but big deal, beating up some new kids isn't exactly difficult. He's not in my league anymore, I surpassed him a long time ago. Jane: You sound pretty confident. Let's hope it pays off. Spike: It will, trust me. Jane: Whatever you say. Well, some of us have to be up early in the morning, so I'm off to bed. I doubt you'll be up when I leave, so I'll see you sometime tomorrow. Goodnight. Spike: Is it my fault if I only work one day a week? Good night. Jane stands from the settee and kisses Spike on the forehead before leaving the room. Spike adjusts in his seat a little and looks directly into the camera, beginning to speak. Spike: You know what CPT, you should've just stayed quiet. You proved yourself to be truly dumb when you opened your mouth this week. First of all, I don't have a British accent, there is no such thing as a British accent. Believe it or not, Britain isn't even a country, it's a group of countries. So anyone in Britain could have a Welsh, Scottish, Irish, or English accent, well then there's the Geordies, they speak something no-one can understand. So when you refer to my accent, it's English numbnuts, not British. That was actually the least dumb thing you said. Let me refresh you're memory. You said that it was you and Jason holding this company together for the last year. Well, let me ask you something, how did you do that? You do know that standing at the back and watching me and Sloppy Joe do all the work doesn't count don't you? 'Cause that's who the real legends of this company are, me and him. You and Jason sat back on your asses watching me and him bring the crowds in. Watching me and him fight back forces that tried to end this company, like the Regime. You know what makes it more legendry, we did it alone. We fought on our own and both made it to the top on our own. You've done it with the help of others, that's got to taint it for you. The only thing you've been good for in this company is being a whipping boy. You're the guy that was given to people to test them out, see if they can actually wrestle. You had one night of luck and now you think you're on top. Well let me tell you something boy, you're dead wrong. It takes more than a one night stand to be on top of this company. I've been coming out on the wining end of things for nearly a year, so when you can rival that, then we'll talk. Jason, the man of steel, you remind me of someone. In fact, you're a lot like him. I think you should do what he did, it worked wonders. Take a trip to Oz, see what you can get, you never know, if you close your eyes and wish real hard, you might just get that brain after all. I still find it hard to believe that you're taking orders from CPT. I didn't think CPT was leadership material. Let me guess, his orders are something like this. *Spike puts on a mocking tone of voice* "Okay men, this week, we'll target Y2RR. Or should we? I don't know, I'm not sure, I don't want to set my sights too high, what do you think? But can you hurry up and decide, it's getting late and I need to be home before dark, the boogie man will be out soon. " He's a joke, I don't know why you're following him. CPT, I've had it up to here with you. I'm sick of all your bullshit, I'm sick of hearing you talk, I'm sick of seeing you. If it's the last thing I do, I will make sure that you lose that title, and I will make sure that someone shuts you up for good. I don't get how can you have the audacity to say some of the things you said this week? You think that Ryan isn't in your league? Well I know for a fact that he could beat your ass any day of the week. He's already got three wins over Jason, so you should be no problem. If anything, it's you and Jason that are not in our league. I've noticed that since Roz Blayze joined you, he's gone a little down hill as well. He was well on his way to the top, and then he joined you, the career killer, and now he's fell off the radar. Canadian Renegades isn't really a fitting name for you. I mean, you've got the one hit wonder and the man of tin, I'm sure there's a more suitable name for you. Let me think. What about, Perpetual Losers, or Losers 'R' Us. Face it guys, you like to talk a big game, but when it comes down to it, you two against me and Ryan, it's no contest really. This week, Ryan proves one more time to Jason why he is a leader, not a follower, and I prove to CPT that soon, I will taking back what is mine. Spike stands and walks away from the line of view of the camera as the scene fades slowly to black. |
