"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled. They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake. These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one." beating a wannabe...again The scene opens to see Spike standing in front of a large bay window. He wearing a black shirt, buttoned up half way, showing a white t-shirt underneath, and blue denim jeans. He is staring out of the window, observing everyone and everything that is passing by. His arms are folded across his chest and he takes a deep breath before beginning to speak. Spike: I should have seen this coming. I should've known that you were not going to accept that I was the better man, that you were going to return with friends to help you to try to beat me. How could I have expected anything less from you CPT? Two weeks ago, you return to SCCW rings after losing to me at Desperate Measures to attack me from behind and start recruiting for the 'Canadian Renegades'. Well, that's been a complete failure hasn't it. You recruited what, one person? Then he decided to realise what everyone else already knew and left you, actually, he left the COMPANY. Do you want to know what he realised CPT, because at the moment, you seem to be the only one that doesn't. He realised that joining a beaten man, and letting him lead him to 'greatness' was a lost cause. Everyone else had already seen this CPT. Everyone else knew that joining your band of imbeciles was like signing a death certificate for their SCCW career. Face it CPT, how have you changed since the last time I put you in your place? You haven't, plain and simple. I also noticed that you were quick to add my name to this clause in our contract from last time. Well let me tell you and everyone else right now, I didn't know anything about it. Why would I want a re-match with you CPT when I was so confident of beating your ass the last time? You put that clause in without my knowledge and then used the law to threaten SCCW officials to get a match with me. Wow, that's really the right way to earn a title shot isn't it. I caught your 'personal message' as well, it was nice of you to verbally sign it from the "true franchise", but if you remember, you lost the rights to that name when I pinned you in the ring. And if you want to go all legal, then so will I. In our contract, it was written and so legally binding, that the loser would never associate themselves with that name again. So, unless you remove all traces of that 'catchphrase' from yourself, then you'll leave me with no other choice than to sue your ass for every penny you have. Which, considering you're Canadian, won't be worth much to me, but I'll take it anyway. What's the matter CPT, don't like the taste of your own medicine? Deal with it. Spike turns around from the window and lets his arms drop to by his side. He begins to walk over to the mantelpiece in the middle of the far wall and looks into the mirror above it. Spike: You screwed over a lot of people last week with your actions CPT. Not only did you screw over Sloppy Joe, who should've had a title match with me, but you screwed over all the SCCW fans. Each one of them wanted to see something that would emulate the name of the event, 'Night of the Legends'. They all wanted to see the only two real SCCW legends, Sloppy Joe and myself fight one-on-one for the biggest prize in our company, but you denied them that. That match would've been a special one for me as well. Capping off an illustrious career by facing the man that started it off, instead, I have to face you. A man with no morals, no dignity, just dishonor and corruptness. You stole away the dream of the fans and replaced it with your own egotistical vision. One where you claim to be a legend and face off against me. CPT, get it through your thick skull, you're not a legend, not in SCCW, nowhere, and you never will be. Only in your wildest dreams could you live out a career like mine. What makes you think that being twenty-two years old makes you great? Being great isn't just something you can say, it's something that you are. It's a lot like being the Franchise, which if memory serves correct, I proved that you weren't. You have to be able to back up your words CPT, not just run your mouth. So far, I've seen nothing to prove to me that you can back up your words, all you are is a wannabe, trying to be the man. Well, as the saying goes CPT, to be the man, you have to beat the man, and I am, without a shadow of a doubt, THE man around here. So step up CPT, and let me prove to you once again that you are not in my league. Spike walks over to a small wooden chair, placed next to a dining table. He sits down and picks up a glass off the table, taking a drink from it before placing it back down. He looks up at the camera and begins to speak again. Spike: I notice you asked me to not dwell on the past and bring up your list of failures. You even said that you let it eat away at you, so is that reason for me to say, 'Okay, sorry CPT, I won't do that again', hell no. If it eats away at you, all the better. I want you to step into the ring this Sunday thinking about your failed title shots and your piss poor excuse for a career. I want all the times that you've thought you'd succeed to come flooding back to you so you can watch all your chances go down the toilet one more time. I have to say though, I thought that last defeat would be the end of you. Losing in the biggest title match of them all, how could have topped that? But you did didn't you. Last week you went and did exactly what you do best, you squandered another title shot, another chance at winning in big, and you blew it. Last time I faced you, everyone heard you say that you took it to a level you never had before, one where you were better than ever. I'd have to agree, but where did it get you? Absolutely nowhere. Your 'new level' still wasn't on par with me. So now you decide to say that your still better than me. I'm just waiting for the whole 'new level' speech again, 'cause let's face it CPT, you're just full of shit. You know you can't beat me. You gave it everything last time, your heart, your soul, even seeking vengeance for your wife, and I still beat you like the bitch you are. I'm tired of trying to motivate you to get better, to challenge me, I'm sick of it. So this week CPT, at Night of the Legends, this thing with you and me, this 'power trip' your going on again, it all ends. After this week, I'm done with you. I'll show you one more time why the title belt is around my waist and not yours and then you will never get another chance at it again.
