| Reaction after Blaze and looking on to the future The scene opens up inside Spike's locker room, moments after losing the TV title to BBK, the camera focused on the closed door. Suddenly, the door swings open and Spike storms in the room. He untapes his fists and throws the ball of tape onto a table. He removes his elbow pads and throws them at the wall before picking up a small steel folding chair and throwing it against his locker. He sits down on another chair and puts his head in his hands before standing up again and pacing back and forth around the room. Just then, Wolf appears, looking equally annoyed and starts to talk. Wolf: Damn it! I thought this was going to be our night. First I get screwed out of my match with Daemon and now you lose the TV title to a man that we despise. This isn't how we visualised the night going is it? Spike: If I said that I was unhappy, or even pissed off about tonight, then it would be the understatement of the year. There is no way in hell that I am going to let BBK think that he has my number now, or that I can't beat him. On Slam, we have to go out there and show them exactly why we are going to be the most dominant team in SCCW. Wolf: You're right. Even though tonight didn't go our way, it doesn't mean it won't this week. It's our chance, we've got to take it. Spike: I know, if ever we were going to show Murderous Intent that we mean business, then it's got to be this week, when we take what is dear to them. The two men exchange a knowing look and begin to get ready to leave the arena. After a while, when both men are waiting for the end of the show before they leave, there is a knock on the door. Spike calls them in and Craig James appears from the doorway, a camera crew in pursuit. Craig: Sorry to interrupt you, but I was wondering if I can get a few words from you Spike, you know, just opinions on tonight's match. Spike: I suppose I have a few minutes to spare. Go ahead Craig, ask away. Craig enters the room and pulls up a chair in front of Spike. Wolf is leaning against the wall with his arms crossed watching the interview while Spike leans back in his chair awaiting the first question. Craig: Well, I may as well start with the question that everyone will want to know the answer for. Your match tonight was possibly the most anticipated of the night, and you lost it to BBK. How does it feel to be on the losing end of the match? Spike: How do you think it feels Craig? To guarantee a victory only to realise that not only did I lose the match, but I lost my title as well. It's the type of feeling that no-one wants to experience, but I guess tonight was BBK's night. It's not going to be the same as last time though. Do you remember that Craig, when I lost the Simcoe County Title to Jason Steel? I wallowed in self-pity for a while, drifting in obscurity, but not again. No, this time will be different. I'm going to get back on the right track by doing what I do best, winning championships. Craig: How can you be so confident about your tag team match after just losing to BBK? Spike: Because I know that my partner, Wolf, will stop at nothing to get a taste of championship gold. He has failed partnerships before and so have I, but they were not our fault. I was stuck with a no hoper and so was he, but now. Now, we're partners and there is no weak link in our team. Our track record as a team is far from being impressive, hell, we've only tagged together once, but look at what we did in that match. We earned our right to compete for the gold. Wolf is hungry for the win, and so am I, so when you ask me that question, just take a look at us as a team and you'll know the answer. As for going up against BBK again, I can't wait. I'm going to show him straight away that while he did beat me, I'm far from finished with him and the rest of the Regime. Craig: Doesn't it seem like fighting the Regime is going to be a losing battle, I mean they outnumber you five to two? Spike: Five? I thought there was four of them? Craig: Don't you know, after Felon won the title, Chris Bond went to ringside and helped the Regime beat up Devin. Spike looks up at Wolf but his face his expressionless. Spike: It makes no difference. Whether there is five of them or fifty of them, me and Wolf are still not through with them. They might outnumber us, but that won't stop us. Our sights are set not only on those titles, but on knocking them off the pedestal that they have placed themselves on. They think that they are untouchable, and at the moment, it looks that way, but in time, they will weaken and that is when we will strike and make the most of the opportunity. Chris Bond might have sold his soul and joined them, but that doesn't bother me. To be honest, I don't know why they let him join, he's a nobody. He probably had to beg them to let him join, either that or they let him join so they had someone to fetch them some coffee. Craig: I take it your not too fond of Chris Bond then? Spike: You could say that. Anyone that would even think of aligning themselves with the heartless bastards that populate the Regime doesn't deserve any respect from anyone. The way that they disgraced Devin Hawk tonight is typical of them. They are free of remorse and conscience and when it comes to their match with us this week, we are going to show them the same respect they show everyone else. We are going to beat them like the little bitches they are and after that, BBK can know one thing, I will be going back after the TV title, and I will take it back. Craig: Thank you for your time Spike. Wolf, is there anything else you want to add to that? Wolf just stares back at Craig, not saying anything. Craig: I guess not then. Spike: I thought I was bad for stoicism but what can I say, he's just not the talkative type. Craig shakes Spikes hand and leaves the room. Spike walks over to Wolf and places a hand on his shoulder. Spike: Don't worry, this week, I've got your back and I know you've got mine. So together, we will be the next SCCW tag team champions. The two men gather their belongings and leave the room as the scene fades to black |
