Vs Adam X

Lots of people

"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled.  They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake.  These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one."

speaking my mind

The scene opens in very simple surroundings.  One chair next to an empty table, plain white walls and a bright spotlight focusing on the seating area.  Spike walks into the shot and sits down.  He is wearing a black t-shirt and blue denim jeans.  His hair is slightly longer than usual, and his face shows signs of a few days without shaving.  Spike looks up directly into the camera and begins to speak.

Spike: There has been a lot going on in SCCW lately, so I feel that I should take a moment aside, away from all the distractions, all the noise.  I want this to be heard by everyone, stretching out from SCCW all the way through the NeWA.  You see, this is my statement of affairs, and address of my current status if you will.  What better place to start than with Trent Shanahan.  A lot of the SCCW roster will be wondering just who the hell that is, let me explain.  He is the NeWA World Heavyweight Champion.  It was scheduled for him to defend his title against me this week on Sunday Night Slam.  A match that would've put me and SCCW on the global map, getting us out there, letting us be known worldwide.  I was supposed to fight the man who deems himself 'Simply Superior'.  Well, he's so Superior that he ran and he hid.  There is no match this week, no glory for SCCW, he's staying in England, making the most of his title before I take it away from him.  Trent, earlier this week, you went on record and said, and I quote, "you don't know dick about me".  Well, as you also stated, I am simply regional, I have never competed under global circumstances and I have never once set foot in the ring for an NeWA title, so you have all the right to not know me.  But doesn't it strike you as an insult, when you are supposed to be 'the man' in NeWA and I don't know dick about you either?  I don't care who you are, I don't want to know about, I just want that belt, and soon enough Trent, when you grow a set, I will get it.

Spike adjusts in his seat a little before continuing to talk.

Spike: That brings me to the state of affairs in SCCW.  I'll start with a group that have called themselves 'Dominant Species'.  Hurd, Diamond, BBK, there's no polite way of putting this, you're all scum, plain and simple.  The only reason that Dominant Species is still about is because I am allowing it.  Last time a group tried to take over SCCW was the Regime, and I ended that, and I'll do the same to you if I have to.  BBK, earlier this week, you called me the 'Triple H' of SCCW.  Thank you for the compliment.  You see in WWE, Triple H is the man to beat, just like I am here, so that is a big compliment, even though it was not the way you intended it to be.  You don't think I am the man to beat?  Ask you life partner Felon, he knows all about it.  For once BBK, I'd like to see you try to go it alone, without the help of a group behind you.  Dominant Species, as a group, so far, you've stayed out of my business, but I can see that you egos are vastly growing and I will soon have to take matters into my own hands.  SCCW does not take kindly to intimidation, and given the right leadership, we will stand against you and we will repel you.  Mark my words, soon enough, Dominant Species, will become an Endangered Species.

Speaking of holier than thou factions, now there is the Canadian Revolution, or whatever the hell your calling yourselves.  Lead by none other than CPT, the most unsuccessful 'veteran' in SCCW history.  Where do you think you'll get with him as your leader.  Look what happened when he tried to dethrone me and take control of this company, he failed.  I beat you CPT, I took the Franchise name, and I kept the Simcoe County Heavyweight title, what makes you think your career is even worthy of an attempted revival?  I finished you off and you decided to pluck up the balls to come back and attack me, who in the hell do you think you are CPT?  I proved before that you weren't in my league and I'll do it again if I have to.  How many times do I have to prove to you that you are never going to take this title from around my waist?  I'm only going to say this once, because you're really starting to piss me off, get a reality check CPT, get a wake up call before I really do end your career.

And finally, there is my opponent for the week, Adam X.  Man, you've got to feel sorry for this guy.  He gets thrown in my path out of nowhere, right in the middle of all the bullshit that is going on.  Adam, I think you've got a case of wrong place at the wrong time.  It's like feeding the lions.  You've been put in way over your head, and you're not even going to be able to tread water long enough to survive.  You may have had a successful past, what with the Young Guns title, and probably the X-title, but big deal.  The people you've faced before have all been in the minor leagues, you're in the majors now boy, and rest assured, I will show you the difference.  I want you to remember something this week Adam.  You see, I know that your record currently stands at four to three, but after this week, you'll have broken even.  So remember, it's not over for you yet.  Don't let this imminent loss damage your self esteem.

To be honest, if you sensible, you'd think ahead and prepare mentally for the loss.  I know you think that you are 'extreme', but so did Rage before I cut him to bits and took back my title in our barbed wire match.  I'm still standing here, where is he?  He's gone.  So let me ask you, when it comes to it, can you be extreme enough to outdo me?  I doubt it.  Every time I have a new obstacle placed in front of me, I have overcome it, smashed down the walls of doubt and moved on, every time.  You will be no different Adam.  I was once like you, trying to make a name for myself by winning small titles, and keeping my head afloat with just enough coverage from the fans to keep coming back, and now look at me, I'm on top of the world.  Try to knock me down Adam, it won't work, ask those who have tried before, ask Midnight Felon, he tried last week and failed.  I guess I'll see you Sunday Adam, but come prepared for the biggest beating of you SCCW career.

Next week will be very special for me for several reasons.  The first being the Night of the Legends show, when two SCCW legends face off in the ring.  To be honest, I'd love to take on any of the 'legends' and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am truly the best.  Next, it'll mark exactly one year since I first set foot in an SCCW ring, one year since SCCW opened it's doors, a true landmark for the company, and I'm honored to be a part if it still.  And finally, next week, a man who I hold with a lot of respect, Sloppy Joe, will be married.  I know Onosai will be looking out for the 'Sloppy' but if anyone's got any other thoughts for this wedding, well, Onosai won't be the only one watching.

That was it, my statement of affairs, take it for what you will, but every word I have spoken is the absolute truth.

Spike stands and walks away from the camera as the scene fades slowly to black
