Vs Midnight Felon

CPT, Matt Wild, Felon

"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled.  They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake.  These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one."

finally, the true franchise has been decided

The scene opens to find Spike sitting in a black leather reclining chair, staring at the Simcoe County title belt resting on his lap.  He still looks a little banged up after his match with CPT, but nothing serious.  He is wearing a white t-shirt, with a black shirt over the top of it and blue denim jeans.  He picks the belt up and stares at it for a few seconds, remembering all he has had to do to get to where he is, all the people he has toppled, Sloppy Joe, Midnight Felon, Extreme Warrior, Rage, CPT, an almost endless list of competitors.  He places the belt over the arm of the chair and looks up slowly, speaking into the camera as he does so.

Spike: So, last week, the 'Unknown' guy thought it was the right time to show himself and reveal his identity.  So it was Matt B.Wild, big deal, I'd guessed it was him from the moment he re-appeared.  He made one big mistake though, picking me as his 'first victim'.  Matt, you tried to cost me what is most dear to me, and that is a mistake you will soon live to regret.  There's one phrase that comes to mind after last week.  Matt B.Wild, you do not know who you are screwing with.  Let me refresh your memory.  Do you remember when you left, I was just starting out.  I'm not the same guy I was nine months ago, my career has grown in leaps and bounds, and you are not going to come back to my home, SCCW, and screw me around.  The Simcoe County Heavyweight title, is MINE, not yours, MINE.  It hasn't been yours since you lost it to Devin.  Now, this company isn't about you, or Devin, it's about me.  I am the Franchise of this company, and no-one can deny that.

Speaking of being the Franchise, what happened CPT?  Where's the biggest win of your career gone?  Where are you?  You're gone, that's where.  I went into Slams last week ready to take that title away from you and prove once and for all that you were a fraud.  I did that.  Now you've had no choice other than to leave SCCW, hanging your head in shame.  I don't know where you are now, but you can be sure of one thing, the True Franchise is here to stay.

Spike stands up from the chair and walks over to the CD player in the corner of the room.  He presses a few buttons on it and the speakers start to come to life as the CD starts to whir in the machine.  After a few seconds, the familiar start of Enter Sandman by Metallica starts to play.  Spike smiles at the relevance of the song, considering his upcoming opponent.  He walks over to the large bay window against the front of the room and looks outside.  The street is quite, not many cars about, and all the children would either be at school, or hiding somewhere from the schools.  The rain is bouncing off the floor, the sky a dull grey, barely any different from the night sky.  He sits down in the makeshift seat that is inside the base of the window.  He rests on leg up on the seat next to him and rests his arms over his knee.  He continues to look out the window, but starts to speak aga.in

Spike: Rain is something that can't be stopped.  It comes all the time, never really the same though.  Every time it's different.  Just like an SCCW match.  It comes around every week, the same challenge is presented to you , face an opponent, try to win, but it's never the same.  Severe rain can be destructive, tearing things apart, causing accidents.  Again, severe matches are the same.  A match could easily go from being a supposed 'white-wash' to the last match of your career.  It's unpredictable.  Which is why I ove it so much, from week to week, anything can happen.  CPT's title shot proved that.

That brings me to this week, and Midnight Felon.  The big return was a little tainted last week wasn't it Felon.  Losing your NeWA title match.  I really was rooting for you in that one, it's about time SCCW showed everyone what we are capable of.  I didn't expect you to blow it though.  Judging by your past record here, you do well in title matches, well, title matches that I'm not in anyway.  What, don't you know what I mean?  Let me embellish.  To my recollection, we've only met in the ring twice before.  The first time, was when you and BBK fought me and Wolf for the tag titles.  Do you remember who won that one?  Well I'm sure you do, but don't be shy, tell everyone, shout it so everyone can hear.  It was me and Wolf.  You lost to my team.  Then there was the next time we met.  One-on-one for the Provincial Heavyweight title.  Who won that one Felon?  Oh yeah, I did.  I seem to have found a weakness in the impenetrable exterior of the 'great' Midnight Felon.  Something no-one else has ever been able to do.

Does that intimidate you Felon?  Walking into Sundays match against me knowing that every time you've faced me, you've lost.  Not just lost a match, but lost a championship.  It's got to leave a bitter taste in your mouth.  I have no problem whatsoever admitting that you are a great wrestler Felon.  I'm the type of guy who gives credit where credit is due, and you, you deserve credit.  You've had a hell of a career in SCCW, no on-one can take that away from you.  But, placing your career next to mine, yours is just overshadowed.  Everything you've done, I've done that bit better.  You and BBK were supposed to rule SCCW weren't you.  Then you got Bond and SXP behind you and that was it, full steam ahead.  I'll admit, for a while you were the team to beat.  No-one could touch 'The Regime'.  No-one, until High Impact.  Do you remember High Impact?  We took a stand against your tyranny, against your underhanded tactics, and we toppled the Regime, culminating in yours and BBKs disappearance.  Did you reflect on that while you were gone?  Have you come back determined, and more focused than ever?  Save me all that will you Felon.  It's the same crap everyone spews out when they decided to make a comeback.  To me, you're just the same old Midnight Felon as before.  Holier than thou attitude, ego bigger than the Empire State building, the whole nine yards.  But one thing has changed though.  You're no longer on that pedestal you placed yourself on all that time go.  Do you know why, I do.  Because you have finally met your match and that eats you alive.

Since you came back, I knew you had high hopes.  Who wouldn't coming back and attacking the Barrie District Champion?  I don't know where your aims are set now, or if I'm the one that is ultimately in your cross-hairs.  Who knows, maybe you've decided that it's just be easier to take a back seat to me in this company and follow behind me.  Maybe you're going to 'take a stab' at becoming a tag champ again with your buddy BBK, well now that me and Wolf are no longer there, you might win them again.  Either way, it's all just a way for you to accept the fact that the Simcoe County Title belongs to me, and no-one can take it away from me.

Spike stands from the window seat and walks over to the title belt that is still resting on the the arm of the chair.  He picks it up and holds it up to the camera, adopting a more meaningful tone of voice.

Spike: No-one is taking it away from me, not you, not CPT, and damn sure not you Wild.  If anyone thinks they can take it, they're more than welcome to try, but you'll just be added to a long list of people that will fail.

The camera focuses on the belt a little longer and then the scene fades to black.
