"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled. They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake. These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one." On top of the mountain....again? The scene opens to see Spike standing in the middle of a small make-shift wrestling ring. He is dressed to wrestle, with his fists and wrists taped, his pads on and for some reason, a red and black tartan kilt, don't ask me, I'm just the narrator, not his stylist. Across from him is a young kid, around the age of nineteen, a trainee. Spike looks down at the side of the ring and shouts to the old man standing by the apron. Spike: Are you sure you only want to send one? We'd get this done a lot quicker if you sent three or four at once. Man: You volunteered to help me train 'em, so you'll do what I say! Spike: Okay, okay, let's get this started. The kid rushes at Spike but Spike drops him with a deep arm drag take down. The kid stands quickly, but Spike is quicker and he hits another arm drag. Spike tries to pick him up but the kid punches him in the gut. He throws Spike to the ropes but ducks to soon, forecasting the move. Spike stops running and hits the kid with a high knee lift to the face. the kid drops the ground, clutching his face, blood pouring from his nose. Kid: Ow, my nose, I think you broke my nose. Spike shrugs and the old man shouts for another trainee to get in the ring. He slides in and locks up with Spike in a collar and elbow tie-up. Spike backs him to the corner and goes for a clean break, but knife-edge chops him several times across his chest. He backs away and waits for the kids anger to build up. The kid rushes Spike, but Spike hits a drop toe hold and the kid falls throat first onto the ropes. Man: I actually need them to compete after this so don't kill 'em all! Spike turns to see two more sliding in the ring. He stomps on the ones back before he can stand and waits for the other to stand on his own. He kicks him in the gut and throws him to the ropes, hitting a single leg lariat on the re-bound. The other one is slowly standing but Spike locks him in a front face hold. He tightens his grip and then falls hitting the Impaler. Spike looks around to see everyone else just looking up in awe and fear of getting in the ring. He backs off to the corner and slumps against the bottom turnbuckle. The old man goes over to help the others out of the ring and to talk them through what had just transpired as Spike turns to the camera and begins to speak directly into it. Spike: I can't help but notice Rage how you keep going back to the past. How many more times are you going to tell people about your wins over Patrick McCarthy and Angelo Rivera and the other one that no-one seems to remember? For the record Rage, I already beat both of them, and as for the other one, is it really worth bragging about beating him when no-one remembers his name? I don't think it is. I could come up with a retort of a similar nature, but, well, there's just too many people to list. I find it funny how you think that you are bringing class and worth to the title when you are still yet to defend it and are still yet to fight anyone with any talent since winning it. If anything, you holding that title is a crime against wrestling fans and wrestlers everywhere. Soon enough, that title will be around the waist of someone who deserves it, someone who the SCCW fans can be proud of seeing hold it. In my opinion, that title lost a lot of it's value. Too many people ended up forfeiting the belt or just being white-washed in a match for it. But then, then there was the most memorable sixty minutes in SCCW history. The first ever Iron-Man match between me and Angelo Rivera. We both earned that shot and we fought it out, man-to-man. The winner, walked out as the better man and the Simcoe County Heavyweight Champion. But then you won the belt Rage and that all went to hell again. It is my duty as someone who wants that title returned to it's former glory to see you drop that belt, and to see you drop it to someone who is worthy, to me. You also focused on how I said this would be our last match and how I said that last time. Well, last time, I was under the impression that I wouldn't get a re-match if I lost, but I did. What makes you think that I would regret allowing you to choose the stipulation of our match? If I didn't think I could win it, would I really have agreed to it? I know you're a few beers short of a six pack Rage, but I thought even you would've known that. I know I've said this before, but it needs repeating 'cause it's just so ridiculous. "The Offspring of Extremity?", what's that all about Rage. Since you've been in SCCW, you've been nothing but a tame little puppy. I know what you're going to say, *Spike puts on a fake voice, mocking Rage* "Just wait 'till I get you in the barbed wire, I'll show you what being the offspring of extremity is all about" *He returns to his normal voice* Get over yourself Rage, you're just not as extreme as you'd think. You're more like the offspring of a donkey and the Andrex puppy. I was wondering Rage, do you feel better when you look at the title bet, 'cause you seem to do it a lot. Does it make you feel like your existence is really worthwhile? Let me tell you Rage, if you left the SCCW after I beat your ass on Sunday, no-one would care. Not the fans, not the boys in the back, not even the janitors that you've made friends with. When I beat you and you fall back into nothingness, nothing will get you out of it. You can say that you're going to become an unstoppable force, but there are tons of guys who've said that, and where are they now? Are they still 'unstoppable'? No. There lacing the boots of the guys that shut them up. I really can't wait for this week now Rage, can you? Of course you can, you can feel your title slipping away already can't you. But I really can't wait. I can't wait to see the look on your face when you get into the ring and see that your title reign is merely minutes away from ending. I can't wait to see what you say when you lose. I can't wait to shut you up once and for all, and I can't wait to see you finally have to admit that someone is just plain better than you. Can you picture it yet Rage? The barbed wire around the ring, looking ominous, the fans screaming your name, sorry, your fan, screaming your name, the referee shitting bricks hoping he doesn't vomit from the blood that will be split, it'll be a great night. Rage, when it comes to getting extreme, I know what I'm doing. I won the Iron-Man match, I won the one and only dumpster match and I never lost the Lethal title. So believe me when I say I'm ready. I know barbed wire is a little different from a dumpster, but hey, as Darwin said, roll with the punches, change, adapt. Okay I know he didn't exactly say that but you know what I mean. Get ready Rage, say your goodbyes, pack your bags, 'cause this Sunday, we're going to hell and back. Spike reaches forward and pushes the camera away from him as the scene cuts to a white static fuzz. |
