Everyone in Match

"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled.  They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake.  These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one."

The true franchise....and CPT...again?!

The scene opens to see Spike sitting on a leather settee.  He is wearing blue denim jeans a t-shirt with a print on the front that is undistinguishable as it is partially blocked by a newspaper that is spread out across Spike's chest.  He is reading the back few pages of the paper, the sports section most likely.  There is a faint noise in the background coming from the stereo in the corner of the room.  You can just about make out that the CD playing is Metallica.  Spike turns over one of the pages and then after a few seconds, he starts laughing to himself, not out of humor, but more of a mocking laugh.  He puts the paper down on his lap and looks straight at the camera.  When the paper is on his lap, you can tell that he had been reading the review of Sunday Night Slam.  The main picture is of Rage holding the title belt high over his head as he stands over his fallen victim Johnny Elias.  Spike begins to talk.

Spike: Well done Rage, you beat a nobody.  You must be very proud.  It's a joke seeing you standing there holding that title.  I can't believe the mockery that is being made of SCCW with you as the front man.  Soon enough though Rage, SCCW's reputation will be restored when I beat you for that belt and take this company to new heights.  Make the most of the belt Rage, 'cause I'm coming back for it...soon!

Spike folds the paper up and places it on the settee next to him.  He leans forward to the table in front of him and picks up a glass of the table.  He takes a drink from it and places it back down on the table.  He sits back in his seat and carries on talking.

Spike: Now, onto a different subject.  Last week, I did exactly what I said I was going to do.  I won the match.  I beat up CPT.  I proved myself.  All week long I said that I was going to win the match for my team, whether we co-existed or not, and I did.  I beat Patrick McCarthy in the middle of the ring.  Jay, I think you saw the light last week.  You realized that the timeless question of you and me in the ring and who is better was about to be answered, so you left.  You left Patrick to take a loss.  But I have to ask, if you can't beat me and CPT, a team that despise each other, how in the hell do you plan on getting past Diamond and Hurd, a team that is without a doubt, on the same page?  Well, I guess it doesn't really matter to me now, I've gone past you and I don't really care whether you win or lose to them.  Also last week, after I got the 1...2...3, I turned to my partner, and I hit him with the Impaler.  I told CPT all along that I was going to do it and yet he still didn't have the common sense to avoid me after the match.  That was just a taste CPT, soon enough I'll get you in the ring and beat you for good with that move.  But I guess I'll have to settle for giving you another taste this week.  After I win the match for  us again, I'll do the same as last week and leave you unconscious in the middle of the ring.  I'm warning you CPT, don't screw with me.

Spike stands and walks over to the window on the far side of the room.  He stands looking out of it for a few moments, looking at he drastic changes the weather has taken, the heavy rainfall, the strong winds and the dark clouds making it seem more like winter than early autumn.  He begins to speak again.

Spike: I can't help but wonder about the reasoning behind my match this week.  Last week, my team beat the tag team champions, this week, who do we get, two guys who barley know what the meaning of the word 'win' is.  Look at them.  Between them, they have a collective SCCW record of four wins, seven losses and two draws.  I've won more matches than they have been in collectively.  Both of them have negative records at the moment, they've both lost more than they've won.  So why put them in the opposite corner to me?  Do they powers that be really want to crush their spirits all together?  Don't get me wrong, they show promise, but let's face it, they're just not in my league.  Hell, they only just about fit into CPT's league.  Last week, they took a loss to Diamond and Hurd and this week, they had better prepare themselves for another loss, to me....oh yeah and CPT.  Sure me and CPT can't get along as a team, but I could beat them by myself anyway.  Darkside, Genocide, don't take this as just a false exterior of bravado and over confidence, it's just reality.  I've proved myself countless times in this company and you'd do well to just accept defeat and move on.

A lot of people have taken losses from me and never been seen again.  Look at Midnight Felon, he lost where is he?  Gone.  Look at BBK, he lost, where is he?  Gone.  Are you two going to be the same.  Take a big loss and walk away, or are you going to just carry on?  I won't blame you at all if you want to be discouraged after this week, most would, but stick with it kids, you might get somewhere eventually.  On a side note, Genocide, I think you'd be better off ditching that dead weight you call a partner and going it alone, I did with Y2RR, look what it did for me.  It's obvious he's riding on your coattails, ditch him while you still can.

Neither of you particularly stands out to me.  You both just seem the same, another two people trying to claw their way to the top, but they just can't.  Is it because of some bad luck?  Unfortunate matches?  Or because you just aren't good enough?  Who knows really.  You've both been around a while now and you're both yet to make a impression on anyone.  Does that warrant you being put in a match against me?  No, not really it doesn't.  You're both wasting my time this week.  This week will be a one-off.  A match against me and then that's it.  You two have nothing that I want.  What I want is the rights to the Franchise name, which I will get by beating CPT.  What I want is the Simcoe County Heavyweight title, which I will get by beating Rage, so tell me, what do you two have to offer.  Nothing.  Jack shit.  You're both below me, and you both know that I am right.

I don't think I've faced you before Damion, if I did, it wasn't very memorable, and I know I haven't faced you Gencoide, so this week you're both in for a treat.  You both get to witness "The True Franchise" in action up close and personal.  Take notes, you might get somewhere.

Spike turns and walks away from thethe view of the camera as the scene fades slowly to black.
