"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled. They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake. These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one." The true franchise....and cpt The scene opens to see Spike sitting at a table in a room mostly filled with darkness. There is a few flickers of orange light and cracking sounds coming from a nearby fireplace. Spike is wearing a plain black-shirt and the room is to dark to make out his lower body. Spike leans back in his chair and begins to speak. Spike: It has come to my attention that people use pleasantries quite often these days to 'tone down' the anger behind a promotional shoot. I too am guilty of this. So to change that, I've removed anything that could distract my opponents from what I am saying. A lot of people use their surroundings to make analogies and witty remarks about their opponents, and again, I too have done this. But not this time. The reason for that? It's simple. This week is no laughing matter, there is nothing about this week that I want to 'tone down', I don't want anyone distracted from the the message that I am truly trying to convey. That message is also very simple, it's that I am NOT going to lose. A lot of people say it, in fact everyone says it, every week, but how many people believe it? I do. I always believe that I am not going to lose. More often that not, I'm right. It takes someone with an extreme amount of talent to beat me, either that or some guy like Rage comes along and pulls off the upset of the year. Spike pauses momentarily to think about the crimes against wrestling that were committed when Rage was handed the title. Spike: I guess my point is this, Jay, you have that extreme amount of talent that I've spoken of, but is it enough? As you've said, I'm the only guy that you're waiting to try to beat. At the moment, we can both brag about how we've never lost to the other, but we've never faced each other, so those words would be hollow and meaningless. But after this week, one of us will be able to put some meaning behind those words. One of us will take a victory for out respective teams, of that I am sure. I'm glad you've noticed that CPT will be the weak link in my team, as I did with Patrick and yours. I guess they're just not in our league are they Jay. They are trying though, but it's getting them nowhere. One had a title handed to him, the other would be shocked if he touched a title. Spike adjusts in his seat a little and sits forward, leaning one arm on the table next to him. Spike: I'm the type of guy who gives credit where credit is due, so I'll make no effort to argue with Jay when he calls himself the future of SCCW. But that's when he'll be on the top, in the future, when I'm gone. My time is now, and I'll prove that soon enough when I capture the Simcoe County Heavyweight title for a third time. I don't think anyone would disagree with Jay being the future, and in due time, I would be proud to 'pass the torch of SCCW' on to him, but at the moment, he'd have to tear it from my grasp. I'm not ready to take a back seat to anyone yet and I'm not past my prime, my prime is now. It was very nice of you to show me your tag team title Jay, I have two just like it though. I also have one like the other belt you have, the Barrie District title. I've been there and done that, so when you say that I'd love to get my hands on your tag belt, you're wrong. At the moment, my sights are set on a much bigger prize. But don't get me wrong Jay, every title in this company belongs to me, and it's just a matter of time before I decide which one I want before I take it, so sooner or later, I WILL be back for the tag gold, but not now, so don't worry too much. Then there is Patrick Ambrose McCarthy. You see, calling you Pam would be too easy, and I'm sure it's been done before so I'll let that one go. Patrick, I see you're remaining silent this week, good for you. It won't make you look as bad. I mean, when you inevitably get to the point where you say you won't lose, well, it just saves you eating your words. I don't know why you got handed that tag title, but I haven't seen the slightest shred of proof to tell me that you deserve that belt. Jay carried your team to a win last week and you know it. You must be doubting yourself. Would you have that belt if it wasn't for him? I'm not so sure. Speaking of your 'team', it looks like Jay wants you as a partner as much as I want CPT as a partner. This match is CPT's battle really. Trying to prove himself before he steps into the ring with Jay Jerzey one-on-one. God that will be a massacre. Oh and by the way CPT, throwing darts at me, real mature. I remember a time when people used to hate Sundays because it was the day before they had to go back to work, but now they hate them for another reason. They hate them because CPT has called himself Mr Sunday Night. They dread Sundays, just from the thought of CPT. I can promise you one thing CPT, when I win this week, I WILL turn to you and shove my fist down your throat. Sure that may seem a little hostile, but what can I say, I really don't like you. Spike stands slowly and walks out of the line of view of the camera as the scene slowly fades to black. |
