Win/Loss/Draw: Next Match: People Mentioned:
10/4/2 Spike Vs BBK Vs Chris Bond for the TV title BBK, Chris Bond

Contemplations from the champ

The scene opens with a shot of a fairly large building.  As the camera starts to slowly zoom in, you can see Spike walking up the front steps of the building.  He passes by a large billboards advertising the SCCW event Blaze of Glory.  He walks up to the front doors of the building and goes inside.  After walking down a long corridor and taking a few more turns, he makes his way through another door and looks out at what is in front of him.  There is the SCCW ring in the middle of the arena and hundreds of chairs set up around it, in preparation for the big night.  Spike walks down the steps towards the ring and slowly walks around it imagining the buzz of the crowd and the heat from the full arena.  He walks back up the steps a little and sits down in one of the chairs before beginning to talk.

Spike: It won't be too long now before the show starts and all of the talk is over.  It'll be a night I won't forget.  A night when I finally get to step in the ring with one of Murderous Intent.  I've been waiting for this for quite a while.  I've been waiting until the time is right to face them and that time will be upon us very soon.  BBK, everything that has happened until now doesn't really concern me.  All your talk about 'punking me out' and being better than me is just that, talk.  You might be one half of the most successful tag team in SCCW, but that's what you seem to be.  A tag team wrestler.  Look at Felon.  He's the Simcoe County champion, he won the Bunkhouse Brawl and at Blaze, he might even win the Provincial Title.  What have you done on your own?  Let me answer that for you BBK, you haven't done shit.  Until you step into the ring with me and Bond this week and try to win your own title, you may as well be riding on Felon's coattails.  You see, like you, I've been a tag team champion and I know what it's like to only have half of the responsibility for the win, but unlike you, I have the singles accolades to prove that I can cut it on my own.  If you ask me, Felon would be better off without your sorry ass and going it alone.  In case it hasn't sunk in to you and your thick skull yet, let me spell it out for you.  I'm not afraid of you, I'm not afraid of the Regime and I'm damn sure not intimidated by you.  You can talk all you want to about me, insult me and my family it really doesn't matter.  When it comes down to it in a few days, we'll be in opposite corners of the ring, going head to head for the first time ever, and I'll finally get to shut you up for good.  Look after the tag titles BBK, 'cause when I've finished with you this week, me and Wolf are coming for those belts and there's not a damn thing that you or Midnight Felon can do about it.

Spike pauses for a moment and looks down at the empty ring.  He looks back at the camera and continues to talk.

Spike: Don't think I'm forgetting about you Chris, it's just that you don't grab my attention as much as BBK does.  I have no real problem with you and truth be told, I might even go my whole career without ever having any problems with you.  On the other hand, after Blaze, you might prove to be such a pain in the ass that I have to kick your teeth down your throat.  The choice will probably be yours Chris, 'cause I'm not fussed either way.  You don't seem yourself lately, you're not  doubting yourself are you?  Take it from me, that's never good.  I seem to remember you talking about both me and BBK threatening you and your undefeated streak.  Trust me when I say this Chris, in wrestling, there is no such thing as a winning streak, just a period of time until your next loss.  No-one is untouchable and no-one is unbeatable, not you, not me and definitely not BBK.  At some point in our careers, everyone loses, it's how you deal with the losing that makes you who you are.  Look at me, I lost the Simcoe County title, and I'll admit, for a while, I did wallow in my own self pity.  But then I snapped myself out of it and won this.

Spike lifts up the InnerCity TV title from the seat next to him.

Spike: I came out of my 'rut' and won another championship belt.  You got your ass handed to you after your match last week Chris, but now, all I'm interested in is how you are going to deal with that.  Are you going to wallow in self pity, or are you going to skip that and give everything you've got to going after championship gold.  I hope you give it everything you've got this week Chris, 'cause I don't want to hear any piss poor excuses from you when you have to look at me at the end of our match and see me with my hand being raised in victory.  Don't worry Chris, there's nothing you can do about it, resistance is futile, it's just the way it is.  That goes for you as well BBK, like it or not, I'm walking out of Blaze of Glory with my head held high and my championship run still intact.

Spike finishes talking and slowly stands up.  He turns his back to the camera and starts walking up the steps towards the exit as the scene fades to black.
