Win/Loss/Draw: Next Match: People Mentioned:
13/9/2 Vs. Tom Taylor Vs Ju Chan

Winner gets a Lethal title shot at Revolutions

Ju Chan, Tom Taylor

"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled.  They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake.  These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one."

first step in a lethal direction...

The scene opens with a shot of an old English pub.  Spike walks into the scene and enters the establishment through the door.  He walks over to the bar and the bar-man acknowledges him.  After a few moments the bar-man walks over to him and starts to speak.

Bar-man: Hi, it's been a while since you've been in here.  How are you?

Spike: I'm okay, been better though, you know how it is.  How are you?

Bar-man: I'm fine, business is good, what more can you ask for.  What can I get you?

Spike: I'll have the usual.

Bar-man: Coming right up.

The bar-man reaches for a pint glass from the shelf in front of him and starts to pour a pint into it.

Bar-man: How's business your end?  It's been a few weeks since I last caught a show.  Who are you up against this week?

Spike: You're missing out, every week something new happens, it's chaos, just the way I like it.  I've been booked against a guy called Tom Taylor and another one called Ju Chan, or Dragon, whichever name he decides on.  That's fine with me though, a triple threat match just means that I get to beat two people up instead of just the one.

The bar-man finishes pouring the pint and passes it over to Spike.  Spike flicks through some change in his hand and gives the bar-man the money for the drink.

Bar-man: I've heard of Ju Chan, here's been there a while now hasn't he?  But the other one, never heard of him.  Should be a good one though, I'll have to make sure I get to one the shows soon.

Spike: You should, we've got a big show coming up soon, Revolutions, you should come to that.  You never know, depending on how things go this week, you might get to see me fighting for the Lethal championship.

Bar-man: Fingers crossed for this week then.

The two men share a smile and Spike thanks him for the drink.  He walks over to a corner booth and outs his glass down on the table.  He takes off his leather coat and throws it down on the seat next to him before sitting down.  He leans forward and takes a drink from the glass before settling in his seat.  He looks directly at the camera and begins to talk.

Spike: Why is it that nearly everyone tries to intimidate people by cutting promos in threatening places?  In front of an open flame, in a training ring, in a gym, hell some even do it in the middle of the woods.  I thought I'd keep it simple this time.  A corner booth in a pub, enjoying a relaxing drink.  It's strange how we try to intimidate people before you even really meet them.  You know why it's strange?  It's because words can sometimes have no effect at all on a person.  I don't try to intimidate people before a match, because I don't need to.  When people step into a ring with me they psyche themselves out.  The second that they realise that they are standing across the ring from me, The True Franchise, their whole game plan is thrown off.  They can talk all they want to about how they are ready to beat me and how they aren't scared of me, but that's when they're miles away from me.  When they are in the ring with me, it's a whole different story.

Tom Taylor, you're barely worth me wasting my breath on you.  You're a nobody and that's the way you'll always stay.  You shuffle about in the middle of the crowd of everyone else but nothing will ever set you apart from that crowd.  You're not like me, a person that takes what he wants when he wants it.  You're a man that will sit back and wait for someone to give you a chance.  Well, here's your chance Tom.  You get a shot at the Lethal title if you can win this week, are you going to be man enough to step up and try to take that opportunity away from me, or away from Ju Chan?  I can answer that right now, no you're not.  Even you wanted to get that shot, it's not worth you trying.  If it were anyone else in the match with you, then I'd say "Go for it", but it's not anyone else, it's me.  Every time you get up, I'll be there to knock you right back down until you just can't get up anymore.  Don't worry though Tom, it's happened to many people before you so you won't be alone in knowing that you've been just another victim.

Spike leans forward and takes another drink from the glass.  He settles back down and starts to speak again.

Spike: That brings me to you again Ju, or Dragon as you now prefer.  Everyone knows that next to me, you're maybe the next biggest threat to the current title holder.  But the one thing everyone doesn't agree on is if you can actually win it.  You've been in contention for nearly every title and competed for a shot at them as well.  Do you remember that Dragon?  The Simcoe County title tournament, the tag team battle royal, the number one contender match for the TV title, do you remember them?  Let me ask you Dragon, out of all of those, which ones did you win?  If I remember correctly you won NONE of them.  What makes you think that this week will be any different from the rest?  You might have an even record at the moment, but all your losses come when a title shot is on the line.  Do you realise that you will probably never win a title here with a track record like that?  This week will be no exception Dragon, you'll face another loss and another disappointment when you go home on Sunday without a title shot.  You should be getting used to it by now, hell, you couldn't even win a tag team title when your partner was there to help you.  If you ask me, Inferno is just dragging dead weight around with him.  There's no doubt that he will be going places, but you, you're destined to be forever at the bottom of the pile.  You can make a good living like that Dragon, but you'll never have the fame and the accolades of me, The True Franchise.  I'm glad to hear that you are ready to step into the ring with me, but the only thing you really need to be ready for is to receive the biggest, most lethal ass kicking of your life.  This division is made for people like me, people who aren't afraid to raise their game just that little bit higher and take those extra risks.  I'm willing to do whatever it takes to win this week and everyone knows that when I say that, I mean it.  Can you say the same Dragon?  I don't think you can, you're all talk, I want you to give it your all this week.  'Cause when you can't back up your words, you'll have no excuses and you'll be forced to realise that you might not be a bad wrestler, but I'm simply better.

Take note this week Dragon, you too Taylor, and anyone else that thinks they have what it takes to win the Lethal title, 'cause I'm going to show the world that I am ready to go Lethal and that no matter what is thrown at me, I will have that title around my waist soon enough.

Spike pushes the camera away from him as the scene fades to black
